What are you thankful for this year? My 7 year old walked into the kitchen yesterday and asked if we could all say what we are thankful for:

DD (7) said she is thankful for God and Jesus and her family and friends.

Most of the adults said they were thankful for the Lord in their lives, their families, their health, and thankful for the country in which we live.

What are you thankful for this year?

That we are still a free nation.

That even if we weren't a free nation, I am still free because of Jesus Christ.

That I woke up from the fog the rest of the world seems to be living in to a life that surpassed anything I could have dreamed about.

That I know the Way, the Truth and the Life and that it is mine forever and no power on earth can take it from me.

I'm so thankful that I have a beautiful family both here and in Heaven that I love and that love me back. I'm thankful for my almost-2 year old granddaughter's smiles, and memories of my Father. I'm grateful I still have my Mom, and that my "boys" (27 and 28) grew up with their morals intact in spite of outside world influences. I'm so thankful that every single day I'm able to count my blessings, and that I have so many to count.

I'm grateful for the gift of the presence of Christ in the Eucharist and the ability to receive Him. I am grateful for the continuation of religious freedom in this country.

I'm grateful for my good husband, my children, the safety and well-beling of DD overseas and for the health that the other DD still enjoys, and for the care of her outstanding doctors. I am grateful that God is with her every second and will take care of her No Matter What.

I am grateful for the liberties we still enjoy, may they continue and increase.

I am grateful for my home, heat, running water, food, clothing, and many other blessings.
