I'm about to put the homemade bread in the oven and as soon as that gets done THEN it the turkeys turn in there. 
So I got AAAALLLLLL afternoon to goof off and am watching the first season of "Green Acres". I grew up with that show. Its hilarious!

shh, it says I've been here all along...but, I'm foolin' ya.
DD had to work today, so we are having a late Thanksgiving dinner...normally, I would be done with everything by 11:30 or 12.

Stuck home
DW cooked a huge dinner to bring to her son's house today. Her other son drove in from out of town to be there.
This morning she let the dogs out without putting them on their chains...and they ran away :-(
I've been driving the neighborhood looking for them and staying home by myself on dog watch. Oh well. She did leave turkey and dressing :-)

I checked to see if I was missing, asked the cat, she just looked at me. Going to have a cup of tea or something hot, depends on what surfaces first when I look. I will let you know if I find myself.

we had a early dinner late lunch turkey...the kids and I just got home. Both my older brothers smoke, kept chain smoking & drinking, that I just couldn't take it anymore so came home! My sis in law was like NOOOOOOOOOOO DONT LEAVE ME!!!! Couldn't take it anymore, I stink now and need a shower. I'm an ex smoker so I think the smell bothers me more!! Not that I want to smoke but just more sensative to it all....(been quit for almost 5-6 yrs I lost count!!)

My husband and our fur-kids are crashed on the couch, slumbering happily in a turkey induced stupor 
My honey makes the verra best stuffing on the planet, so he does the turkey nd stuffing, I make the gravy and side dishes; which this year were baked sweet potatoes, cole slaw and cranberry sauce.
Simple and easy.
The turkey carcass is simmering on the stove, the turkey has been packed into vacuum bags for the freezer and the kitchen is cleaned up. Laundry is going and I've uncovered all the lanai plants fro tucking them in last night due to a frost warning. Moved the tomato plants back outside.
Soon I think I'll fix a mug of tea, draw a bubble bath, grab a book and put some George Winston or Miles Davis on the cd and just kick back and relax .......

Unfortunately Yes.......... it's 15 degrees out........ at 3pm in the 'heat of the day'....
Actually my back porch acts as an extended cooler for all things needing to be chilled... just put it in the snowbank.....
Can't leave pop out there too long, tho... it will freeze solid.

Some joker decided to go hunting behing the house this afternoon, a little too close. My dog gets spooked by gunfire and ran off. I looked for her tonight, but, she had a big headstart on me.
Hopefully, she'll come home like she did last time.
It never dawned on me for someone to hunt this close to the house on Thanksgiving Day. In IN (my home state) they used to stop and let the people living nearby/next to where they would be shooting to give us a heads up.
Hope all our pets are ok.

I did NOT eat dessert, however I am about to remedy that..now that everyone is gone!! Best thing about hosting the dinner is the leftovers!!
