i read that an undersea volcano would explain the melting ice much better than global warming. i think that was on iceagenow.com.

Or they are all signs of the same thing... a changing planetary EM field... affecting the weather and other related phenomena near the surface that we can see/test.

Only if the hypothetical volcano had a caldera something like the size of the state of California.
