I saw the 7pm eastern show, is it the same one? Anyway, he was great at 7. He said he thought he knew who he wanted to vote for, but now he hates both of them. He said the debates were an insult, nothing of importance discussed, etc. Gotta love him! He tells it straight!

Probably the same show......I'm out here in Mt. Time.

He is not towing the "line"........saying things that are going to ruffle feathers.

I'm almost scared to post.

My mouth is just dropping open.

Somebody is going to be miffed at his position and he is having guests on that are backing him up.

What guts!

I'm astonished.

Yes, it is the same one. They replay it several times through the evening/night.

I just love this man...and he's always pretty much told it the way is was...just getting more and more spot on as each day passes. Amazing to me that we watch him on CNN. :shr:

I say...Glenn Beck for President!!!! Or better yet, Glenn Beck for Secretary of Treasury.

Below is part of Beck's radio show transcript from today. See if you read it the same way I do:

"You add global finance, France, the UN, Russia, China has asked for a global currency. France said yesterday or day before, new world order. One financial system needs to come out of this. Last night for the first time ever all the central banks globalized and they all made one move together and they're all now saying we need to meet, we need to control the globe's financing. The UN is talking about a UN financial network. One currency. You add to the disenfranchisement now, what is it, 79% of Americans are Christian? How many of those actually still believe in the resurrection, how many believe still really in the return of Christ? 50%? 40%? I don't know, but it's large, that actually say, you know, there is some day where all these things are going to come true. Well, one world finance, one world currency, new world order, going to spook the bejesus out of those people.

So from that maybe 2% of people that are spooky and crazy
, you keep going down this road and the politicians stick the normal people in the eye and say, "Oh, well, you couldn't really do anything about that. How about I jab this into you a little more." How many percentage points do you add? One global currency. How many percentage points do you add? It's a table that you can keep adding. Disenfranchisement is its own table. You can't keep adding weight to it and that's what everybody is doing. Everybody step of the way all of these different groups, they keep having another load, sandbag, thrown on top of them. Well, at some point -- and I believe it's going to be the crazy leg -- somebody is going to do something nuts."

Now, I read that as Mr. Beck saying that Christians who believe in the end time prophecies of the Bible (and that perhaps they are beginning now) are "spooky and crazy".

I'm one of those ppl who actually truly believe in the Resurrection, the Return of Christ, and that what is happening now is eerily freakily spookily crazily in line with Biblical warnings!

$#!+ what interesting times.

Me too! :D

Lots of people proclaim to be Christians because they are good people, or attend church. Those are the top two answers I get when I ask someone if they are a Christian? They are surprised to find out that is not the answer according to the Bible. They may be included in that number.

Pretty soon it won't matter what flavor of Christianity what percentage of ppl are -- the direction the world is taking will cause many to look at the Bible with new eyes, and seek to understand what is happening now.

One thing to keep in mind is that many generations for 100s of years now have been sure their travails are the ones the Bible is talking about, so this may be another case like that. But it sure is getting closer, and may be IT -- time will tell.

That's not at all how I read it. First of all, Beck believes it HIMSELF. He did a series on the end times about 2 years ago - yes, on CNN. It was astonishing - and that's when I started watching/listening to him.

What I do think he's saying is that there is a percentage of people who really believe 40 or 50%. But he says that 2% may be spooky crazy. I believe that, too. There are a few folks in ANY group that are nuts and can/will do scary things.

Take for example people who believe that abortion is wrong. There are lots of us who believe that... but there are a few "spooky crazy" people who think that because abortion is wrong, they should kill people at abortion clinics.

So.. do not think he's lumping you into the 2%. He's not... he's just saying that there are a lot of things piling on right now and that the 2% are out there and when they "break" someone is going to do something crazy. I believe that, too... I'm so angry right now. I'm mad about the bail out. I'm still mad as hell about the open borders. I'm angry that I worked so hard on Bush's campaigns - only to get kicked in the teeth time and time again these last 4 years. I'm mad as hell that he'd go on TV screaming that his skirt was on fire and if we didn't get this bailout bill, we were all going to die (or lose EVERYTHING).... and I'm not the only one who's this pissed. I dread running into someone as pissed as I am who doesn't have their wiring hooked up right.....

He can count into the spooky crazy 2% AllMadInTheHead who bases his entire life and leadership on his fervent belief that the Jihater savior is about to pop out of a village well and he is the herald; or some current world leaders who believe they hear God telling them to hurry up Armageddon, and so on.

And when you have these apocalypse-instigating nutcases as LEADERS AT THE SAME TIME with NUCLEAR WEAPONS it gets really dicey on the spooky crazy stage!

Well. Sparky should have thought of that before he called Ron Paul supporters "terrorists" last year. Idiot.

Still don't like him much even though he has done a 180. Has Ron Paul on all the time saying how we should have and should now listen to him. Everynow and then he throws out the disclaimer about disagreeing on iraq, but he drools whenever Ron Paul speaks.

There are "Christians" and "believers". Anyone can call themselves a Christian and probably are good people and live good lives. Believers on the other hand are those that are truly born again and realize the message of the cross in their hearts.

.

I agree, that is when I started watching/listening to him as well. If you listen to him at any length, you will know that is what he believes.

I do agree also that he has done a 180 on several topics over the years, and illegal immigration is one of them. I was so mad at him when we were with the Minutemen and he was not supportive at all!

But, I have to respect someone who admits they were wrong and publically state their beliefs. He admits he is a recovering alcoholic who made a lot of mistakes in his life, and it took him a long time to get his life together.

I do enjoy his take on things, although I still don't agree with him 100%...but then I don't agree with anyone 100%.:spns:

Great Great Grandma!
I watch both Glen Beck and Lou Dobbs every day. They are both now point blank saying things that they used to only beat around the bush about. They both have been laying it out there bold as can be, and they both have respected guests that agree with them.

I've noticed Ron Paul on several shows now that he's not actively campaigning. He hasn't released his delegates has he? Did he withdraw from the race or did he do like McCain did and put his campaign on "vacation".

We are living in interesting times.

Not saying that everything that comes out of Glenn Beck's mouth is a jewel, but I think you have misinterpreted him. As someone else here said, Glenn himself is a believer, and has had numerous shows discussing such.

If you watch him with any regularity, you understand that he can be very sarcastic - and I believe there is some sarcasm woven in here. He can also be a bit "spastic" and impulsive, but in a likable way... ;)

I like him because I think he is genuine, and that he really seeks the truth, no matter where the chips may fall. He's not always right (who is?) but I believe his motives and intentions are honorable. I trust him to say what he believes and he'll confront anyone that he believes is untruthful or "full of crap" regardless of his own ideology.

I also like the fact that he has guests on that he trusts, people that he believes are truthful and honorable as well.

You have to watch him for a while, and also without a chip on your shoulder, looking for a reason not to like him.

Too late though now, isn't it? Glenn Beck did a lot of damage to Ron Paul's campaign last year. I have no use for him. He's the same calibre "journalist" as Sean Hannity (and that is not a compliement).

I like Glen Beck he seems to be genuinely concerned about what is happening to this country, he says it like it is, he and Lou Dobbs seem to be the only ones willing to tell us what is really happening, or support what many of us already know.

Don't agree with them 100 % of the time but wouldn't expect to.

For financials I have started watching Cavuto....he seems to be willing to take on the financial talking heads and politicians especially about this bailout. I never really paid much attention to him before.
