Did you see Obama's speech earlier today when he got booed?

Earlier today at a rally he was talking about the economy and when he said this...

OBAMA: We meet today at a moment of great uncertainty for America. Yesterday, we saw another significant drop in the stock market as the anxiety about this financial crisis grew worse. Overnight, the same thing happened with markets around the world. And this morning, the Federal Reserve took swift action together with other nations to stem what is now a full-blown global financial crisis. I support that action, as I've said before that this is a global problem and it needs to be solved through a global effort. I hope this global response continues as leaders of major financial institutions and representatives from nations around the world gather in Washington soon.

(Here's the full transcript)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/08/AR2008100801990.html

I hope a video comes out, he sounded like he was going to continue talking and when the yelling from some and booing started, he immediately stopped and then changed the subject away from global solution back to talking about the US economy. It was really telling and a must see.

First, I want to say that I do not think Obama is the anti-christ.

But, he sure puts on the same performance that Sam Neil did in "The Final Conflict (Omen III)" as the anti-christ. I have said this here the day after I first saw Obama speak.

Black overcoat, same voice tone, same movements, same hypnotic audience. Go rent the movie and see for yourself.

Good grief. It would appear that the vast majority on this board would rather see the whole world crash into depression than cooperate with other countries to find a solution.:screw:

I think you guys are missing the point. The important thing here is not that OBAMA got booed, it's that people, probably pretty mainstream people, were awake enough to take issue with this.

A solution! Like a New World Order? Would you like that mark in your hand or forehead?

Obama is running a world wide campaign. He did a European tour. He is supported by people not of the United States. He is taking his cause to the masses. He doesn't want to be just OUR president.

Did I say a NWO or a mark? No, I certainly did not. What are your solutions? Have any suggestions? Where the hell do you think man McCain is going to get money for his plan? Certainly not here at home unless he plans to just print it and drive us all into financial oblivion. Everyone is struggling to get an understanding of just what is going on and what is the solution. All the NWO paranoia is fear mongering imo.

So true.

And just look at all the intelligence here: they don't like the candidate so they make up such ignorance as saying he's the antichrist. Of course that means nothing to anyone unless they subscribe to the same distorted beliefs as these folks.

I watched the video. Thanks for the link. I failed to see much of a booing problem. McCain has had that several times lately when he spoke as well. They both seem to be handling it pretty well.

Duh! Who said he is the antichrist????

Really??? Why did he say everyone has their opinion then? Maybe booing wasn't the exact term I should of used, but something still happened there. People did not like what he said or where he was going was pretty obvious IMO.

There is no money, just like there is no spoon. We are in financial oblivion, it's just numbers spinning around in a computer - WAKE UP!!!!!

There is no solution that you or I will like. The overseers will only benefit.

Do you think they will want to share anything with the likes of you or I?

Warren Bone, I've appreciated a lot of your posts over the past.

Lately you are so hypnotized with Obama that your posts are almost rabid toward anyone who does not worship Obama. You have tunnel vision, my friend. Take off the blinders.

Back to topic:

Chartreuse, I agree, people are waking up. People would have booed McCain had he kept using 'global' in his speech.

Sounds like several of you did.

Warren, you must be unable to read the word DON'T. Go back and see that we all said we don't think he is and that he may not be.

Geez, he is hypnotized, just like the people in the movie I referrenced. He can't read and re-quotes, then can't read the quotes.

Double Duh!

Does everyone see this or is it Warren in hypnotic hallucinations?

I compared Obama to an actor who portrayed such a character. The audience reacts just like Warren does - and can't see the forest for the trees.

And I do remember when Daddy Bush garbled about a New World Order and Thousand Points of Light. I don't think he was the anti-christ either. They are all just ANTI-AMERICAN!

What really bothers "ME" about Obama is the fact that he keeps saying this many times in his speeches:

on November 4th. And if you do, I promise you -- we will win Indiana, we will win this election, and then you and I -- together -- will change this country and "change this world". Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless America.

No thank you Obama!! I am a Canadian, don't you dare even try to change Canada!!! Your change the WORLD talk makes me feel defensive. We will decide for ourselves. Take off eh! :fgr:

(I've never ever used that smilie here before. FYI)

Kate, I did not say he was not booed. He actually addressed it and moved on, much as I have seen McCain do on several occasions. I just didn't see it as a lot of booing or really much of an issue to support the heading you posted.

FWIW, I am totally aware that there is no real solution to the problems we face that we are going to like. I just don't see Obama as any worse than McCain. McCain is as far left leaning as any republican could possibly be and waffles about most everything. Personally.....I think we are doomed.

It was people at Obama's speech booing. Only 2 responces above your post neither one commented on cooperating or not cooperating with other countries.

Yet this lets you know what the "vast majority on this board" think and feel. I have not seen anyone shoveling sh*t this high in awhile.

Um no, not everyone...just the fricken liberals who are living in an Al Gore paradise!

I actually think we are already living in a NWO myself, it became obvious the minute your country tanked and the rest of the global economy followed.

We're just ALL in denial I'm thinking. :shk:

Thanks KateCanada for the post.

Leaving religion and the anti-christ stuff aside, and by the way - I don't think he is the anti-christ either.

Obama got booed because he puts too much emphasis on WORLD stuff. He should have a total and complete focus on the American people first, then the world, and only when the world is important outside the US interests with US interest being his only goals.

Kate - you said it all similarly when you said - leave Canada alone.

Right now, Americans are focused on THEIR OWN PROBLEMS. They may see what's happening in what could be called the background regarding the world being in the same financial crisis, but to them what really counts today is what his goals are for America. Without suggesting they are a selfish lot (and maybe they really are) Americans see Presidential elections as something that is ONLY American. That actually goes with 'born into' and 'living in' America, what Patriotism is founded upon.

Obama unfortunately has a VERY DIFFERENT UPBRINGING. He cannot see America's Forests for the WORLDS trees. While he may have been born to an American citizen, his entire childhood and adolescence was formed elsewhere and under completely different circumstances than those found in the US. I can get into his wanting to live here, who wouldn't, sure beats the 3rd, 4th or 5th world living his childhood embraced. He wants to fix those places and sees his Presidency as a way to have the power to make changes for those people in Africa where he grew up. I see the need to assist those less fortunate, that's what America has stood for, but I do not see where our President should place so much focus on world issues when those at home are equal or greater and should be the primary focus.

Maybe he got some kind of message from those that booed relevant to getting off the world bandwagon, maybe not, at least he DID change the subject so I'll give him one more point in CHANGE being his mantra.

It still however will not motivate me to voting for him, he has yet to prove he is even eligible as a citizen to run for the Presidency. As I see it, he must fess up that info first, then and only then might I listen to his rhetoric.

My relatives settled this country, have been here since day one, they fought in many wars for this country and it's people to be Americans. I guess you could call me a TRUE Patriot and I have expectations about my President being a true citizen in every respect.

America my home - her people are MY family - Country First!!!

Now dd, surely you know that only those voting for Obama are intelligent and can be the ONLY ONES who are capable of making any assessment about anything, right? Just sit back relax and let Warren et al tell you how to think. /NOT!

Arrogance cuts both ways. Obama's not smart enough to be the Antichrist. He's just a pretty face, smooth talking Chicago lawyer. Thas' all....
