Have you tried Ross? they seem to carry a lot of large size shoes in my area, and the prices are pretty good.

Our local Army Navy store seems to carry a lot of larger sizes in tennis shoes as well at very good prices. So you might want to try there as well. And what about eBay? A lot of people sell new shoes on there as well.

My DS is 14 years old, 6 ft. 1 and size 15 shoe.

It is not easy finding shoes. :hlp:

I feel your pain! Be glad he is still only 6'1". My son is 6'6", and wears size 14 1/2 shoe, so he has trouble finding shoes and clothes. JC Penney has a big and tall catalog, and those clothes & shoes seem to fit him well. Many of those expensive shoe stores in the malls carry sizes 15 and 16, but boy do they cost more!

I feel your pain. DS wears size 16. I just order a black New Balance from J.C.Penney. They deliver to my door.

I used to drag him all over Tulsa looking for shoes that fit, but options are limited. Once we found one that works, we just stuck with it.

Once their feet get bigger than size 14, shoes get harder to find.

Good luck!

I have a big boy, too. And near me is a JC Penney Outlet that has huge shoes cheap all the time.(I guess theres not a "huge" market for HUGE shoes ;) ). I always got them there. When DS got older, he bought Doc Martens, which I thought made his feet look like Herman Munster, but he liked them.

Yup yup...You want New Balance. http://www.newbalance.com/. They have super sizes and super widths, and anyone with a teenager with a large foot will tell ya, they are a life saver. Inexpensive (by todays standards) and well made and the kids actually like the styles.

Don't tell my your sob stories ;) I have 14 DD's and DS#2 had 16D's

When he was growing up it was always the flashest shoes, now it is what ever shoe he can find that fits ;) He gets a lot of stuff from catalogs. I get stuff pretty much from Red Wing or a local store called Beck's that has SAS in 14 Extra Wide.

Under His Wing
When my son was born he was 6 lbs and 19" long, with huge feet and hands. I kept telling everyone "he will grow into those feet and hands" and yes he sure did!

His shoe size changed dramatically every year and to the point that I too had trouble finding shoes and house slippers. I feel your pain.

Just wait until you try to find size 16 wide shoes :( lol

DH is 6'6" and shoe size 14 and he swears by EASTBAY ...

go to Eastbay.com punch in shoe size, they are listed by price, go to the last
page, and it will list the best deals... when he buys shoes, he gets them for around $25.00 max (top of the line shoes). Just keep an eye on the prices, the shoes sell until only the very smallest and biggest sizes are left and the price goes down accordingly.... so great deals can be had.

Wow, and I thought my 14 year old's size 13 was a problem! Must be all the hormones in our food these days.

When i was a kid the only big sizes were Doc Martins boots, no special shoe shops in the UK back then, I'm a UK size 13 so a US 14

Many years ago my mom was complaining about how hard it was to find shoes for me, back when I was a growing teenage boy. My great aunt told her, "Well, just be glad some of him turned under!"

I always got a kick out of that...

DH is 6'6" and size 16. He actually went from 15 to 16 when he turned 40! Zappos and JC Penney Big and Tall have been the best and least expensive sources for shoes. DO NOT us Eastbay! You will get catalogs from them till the day you die. Moving to an undisclosed location wil not help. They will find you! I have never tried Shoebuy.com so thanks for the info.

When I was in the military, I had a shipmate who wore size 18 shoes. They had a helluva time finding shoes for him; in fact, his shoe size nearly prevented him from joining the military.
