Is there any chance that Kerosene that I bought back in 1999 might still be useful in an Aladdan lamp in 2008 or 2009?

I'd say a 99% chance, Barry.

Kero lasts a very long time.

If it burns , it's OK.

Barry, don't worry about it. I have used kero that I stored since 1998 and it's been perfectly fine. I just make sure that the containers are as full as possible to lessen the risk of condensation building up. That stuff will outlive both of us.

Kerosene has a very long shelf life

because it is not a highly refined petroleum product so it should be fine to use
