I have a book on making those, but haven't tried it yet. I got the book because it seemed like a good, efficient, and very cheap stove to build for a future cabin.
Hermit: Don't forget basic design can be up or down sized based on your needs. If you want a semi-permanent wood stove for your cabin, all you need is a couple of computer muffin fans, and the appropriate voltage/size batteries to provide accellerated draft. Just make sure you have an efficient chimney pipe that can handle the CFM's, and your entire system can handle the intense heat.
Sounds interesting, Fleataxi, although personally I like it at this level for camping. I just saw this yesterday, think I'm going to get a pair of tinsnips tomorrow .... been meaning to get them for my hobo stove, which is a much simpler design but certainly not as efficient as the rocket stove.
