Saved, to glorify God.
In a massive public response to skyrocketing fuel prices, so many people have turned to the fuel sipping small two wheeled scooters and motorcycles that training classes for the motorcycle endorsement to one's driver's license here in Tacoma/Olympia area are booked solid into October said lady answering the phone for Puget Sound Safety. They give classes at the Tacoma Mall and in Olympia.

Now that is scary! When you see that many people taking that corse there is big trouble ahead, I view people most of the people that take that corse as to incompetent to drive a car.

I would disagree with the assertion of this thread.

I have taken an MSF class before and helped a few friends get into them.

These classes ALWAYS fill very, very quickly.

This is just standard run-of-the-mill stuff with regards to these classes.

MSF Classes have been booked solid for the past five years in my area.

Here is how you get in....

Find out where and when the classes are held and be there at the start of the first class and hope someone does not show up.

Our classes are held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday evening is in classroom study.
Saturday morning is in classroom study.
After lunch you get to ride circles for like 4 hours.
Sunday morning more in classroom study.
Sunday after lunch more circles but this time you get to shift gears along with starting and stopping practice.

In Illinois if you pass the class you get a free pass at the DMV for your motorcycle license.

And proof to show your insurance company that you passed the class which gives you a discount on motorcycle insurance.

It is a good class for the novis rider!

I happen to know fist hand from someone that gives that corse and from what both of us can tell 1/3 to 1/2 of them will put anywhere from 700 miles to 8000 miles on the bike they just purchased and never get back on it again ever. Used bikes for those of us that are not afraid of it and can ride.
