Saw my doctor this morning. He says my foot looked real good, and I won't be needing that other surgery he thought about to clean out the hole on the bottom of my heel. Looks like it has finally decided to heal up. He told me he didn't want to see me again for 2 months. Looks like the bone removal and putting in the antibiotic beads worked. No more MRSA for me! Just finish healing up good now and I'm all done with it. And to think that two other doctors thought it needed to be amputated below the knee. Glad I didn't give up. And thanks to all of your prayers for helping me through these past 17 months.

Look out fish! Doc said I could put the boat in the water, and I'm hungry fer fish!

Praise God, PilotFighter, you just made my day, bless your heart!! I've been praying, and it is so great to hear this great news! I'm so happy for you I got tears in my eyes. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS MERCY TOWARDS US ALL! Now get out there and catch me up some fish (crappie, bass or bluegill) and we'll put 'em in cornmeal batter and deep fry 'em, yum. :)

Most excellent news! MRSA is nasty stuff, and is just about everywhere. Going to the clinic for an ingrown toenail can wind up being fatal nowadays. Take care friend!

it might be a good idea to really flush your system for a while after all the meds and infection....I have been fascinated with this doctors work...posted it on another thread but hope some folks will take some time to think about this mans concept....blessings T
