FARM My Tomatoes are Dying

Now-Later

Inactive
My tomato plants are dying from the bottom up. The leaves are brown and yellow.
Is it because of too much rain or the soil condition. It seems to be good topsoil.

Could they be dying because of the heat? I planted quite a few and they are turning yellow and brown from the bottom up and the neighbors told me it was the Texan heat. I have seedlings for when it gets cooler. I am surprised there are no seeds avilable even though there are two growing seasons here.

Amazed

Does too have a life!
The bottom leaves often turn yellow and brown. It doesn't mean the plants are dying.

Mine are not well this year either, but I think it is because of a warm sping followed by a wet and cold "Summer." You can try taking some of the dead leaves off, sometimes that helps.

Now-Later, we have the same problem. Same weather conditions. It has been wet and cool, but it has been warming up in the past week. I grew red and green pepper plants in big pots and they are doing so good. I just came in from checking on them. I was thinking about trying one tomato plant in a pot next time to see how well it will grow that way. Momof23goats is a very wise soul who could propably give you some advice. I like reading her posts because she knows so much. Hope you can save them somehow. Maybe they will come around for you I hope.
