I live in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Yesterday I attended various events connected with the unveiling of the new Adam Smith statue.

Our local taxi drivers normally spend the journey moaning about the chaos caused by the construction of our new tram system. But last night was different. I began to notice the radio programme he was listening to. It was Alex Jones! The driver told me that he downloaded the shows and played them back all day on his iPod. He gave me the Infowars URL. Even after he'd switched off the meter (and this is Scotland!) he kept going on about the evils of the Federal Reserve, the Bilderbergers and all the other usual suspects. Very few people discuss these matters over here but now they've reached the "taxi-driving community".

Everyone but the dem/repub partisans are realizing the Federal Government of the U.S. INC. is a giant, global, Ponzi Economy ran by treasonous grifters, crooks and con-men disguised as Politicians, CEO'S, bankers, lawyers and a few other bastardized now unsavory "professions" whom we have been conditioned to blindly respect regardless of their results of leading this nation down the toilet for 50+ years.

Reminds me of several months ago, when I read a famous financial analyst's comments which were extremely close in content to your post. I sent him an email on his article. Joking, using sarcasm, I said something to the effect, "Someday, you should tell us what you really think" because his comments were so bold and harsh.

He responded to me, by email. It was real shocker. Turns out his real feelings were 1000% more horrendous than anything he shared with the public. Singed my eyebrows, he did! I was floored by his response, which I have held close, as it was a private email.

Alex Jones' worldview may be more mainstream than any of us guess.

Someday, Worrier King, you should tell us what you really think!

Wow Haymarket,
I'm really amazed, you should write Alex and let him know. I'm the only person I know that downloads the pod casts, I listen to them while weaving. I thought one of the most interesting ones was when he described his elderly father (a dentist) being invited to an Austin meeting with guest speaker, Bill Clinton.

Someone asked the former president what the thought of local boy, Alex Jones and Clinton said something like (I don't have the exact quote,) "oh, yeah now Alex Jones, he knows a lot of very interesting things, a lot of very DANGEROUS things..."

Alex said his dad nearly had to carried out of the meeting he was so shocked and upset. When I told my husband he mentioned that Bill Clinton may be a lot of things you don't want to mention in a public forum, but he does have a habit of blurting out something truthful once in awhile when caught off guard. Or it may just be a really smooth way to get a message out.

In either case, the more I read and hear for other experts, the less "co-coo" Alex's world view seems to be. In particular, his information on the banking system seems to be spot on. I'm not as sure about the genocide stuff, but I'll keep an open mind, though my hope is that even if "true" is is more the desires of some twisted folks rather than a real master plan.

Time will tell, I guess...great post!

Savage said it best last night
The rise of listeners on am and radio talk shows and internet forums, coupled with the drivel published in the newspapers and on MSM has led to rising commercial sucess of am and profit hemorage of TV, magazines and newspapers.

People arent Stupid, and want real news made available. Seeking they will find. One of the reasons you always read about it here first, on the internet!

I feel sorry for Christy Brinkley, but her divorce isnt going to affect my family such as war, starvation, genocide, politics, medical breakthru's and radical judges. All of which isnt being published by the commercial profit driven and pablum feeding MSM.

Haymarket, you ask whether the interest of taxi drivers in financials and politics was a dot? The answer, I think, is a big YES!

There was a story in financial circles that one day in 1929 that Joe Kennedy (The father of President Kennedy and later became the first Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission) got into a taxi cab in New York and was confronted by the driver giving him stock tips. At the conclusion of his ride it is said that Mr. Kennedy immediately sold ALL of his stock investments.

How does this relate to your taxi driver? I think that your experience is telling us that we are very late into the game. The current order of 'things' is likely soon to be turned over, and a new 'order' established.

When the rot and manipulation of the public sphere becomes 'common' knowledge and of interest to the likes of taxi drivers (Corruption coming to the surface) there are fixing to be big changes. There is a rule of sorts that revolutions only arise from the middle class (The upper classes are happy with the way things are, and the lower classes are largely powerless to do anything about their discontent). The question I would ask is: is the middle class still holding sufficient power to bring about a restructuring of society (cleaning out the systemic corruption)?

I would NOT bet against them.

IMO,

Woolly

BTW, a great observation, Haymarket!
