Obama Met Secretly With Shady Imam in Michigan This Week



Barack Obama met secretly with a controversial Imam this week in Michigan.
Imam Hassan Qazwini has hosted Louis Farrakhan at his mosque and is close to the Hezbollah Spiritual Leader who issued the fatwa to blow up 300 U.S. Marines and embassy officials in 1983.

Imam Hassan Qazwini met privately with Senator Barack Obama this week in Michigan.
The Detroit Free Press reported:

A Muslim leader from Dearborn met privately with Sen. Barack Obama during his Wednesday visit to Michigan.

Imam Hassan Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America, said in an email that he met with Obama at Macomb Community College. A mosque spokesman, Eide Alawan, confirmed that the meeting took place. During the meeting, the two discussed the Presidential election, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the Iraq war, according to Qazwini.

At the end of the meeting, Qazwini said he gave Obama a copy of new book, “American Crescent,” (his book on why Islam is good for America) and invited Obama to visit his center.

The meeting with Obama came about after Qazwini had asked David Bonior, the former U.S. Rep. from Michigan, if he could meet with Obama during his visit. Qazwini was not selected to be part of a group of 20 people who met with Obama, but Qazwini later got a private meeting with Obama, Alawan said.

In 1998, the mosque--then in Detroit--was the first mosque to which I went undercover. I wrote about it in The Detroit Newsistan, before the paper became Muslim-occupied territory under such boneheaded individuals as editorial page editor Nolan Dhimmi Finley. At the time, the mosque hosted Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who delivered a long hate-filled rant against Jews and Christians (and in praise of Saddam Hussein). When Farrakhan called Jewish Americans "forces of evil" with a "Satanic mentality." Imam Qazwini and his congregants gave him a standing ovation. That's not to mention that the Imam and other Muslim officials introduced Farrakhan as "our dear brother" and "a freedom fighter."

Here we have one of the most unnoticed Mullah promoters, someone who is allegedly a member of the Mullahs secret agent network (VEVAK), now living in the U.S. and said to be working in brainwashing people in Dearborn, on behalf of the terrorist regime of Iran, meeting with Obama. I would bet my bottom dollar that he has a message from his presumed bosses in Tehran for this Democrat candidate. But how come this isn't being reported more widely?!

It amazes me the depths of disgust that people are willing to go to to trash an opposing candidate. No democrat or even an Obama fan here, but this story is total trash and invented to add fuel to a deliberate character assassination of a front-running candidate.

It was in the Detroit Free Press. What more do you want to be said?
Why would the 6:00 news feature it in any kind of negative way when a sizeable percentage of Dearborn and Detroit residents are Muslim, lots in the nearby Toledo area too.

Up in Canada, I've discovered that people have an utterly amazing ability to rationalize voting for someone whose policies are evil as long as that person is promising them something for nothing from someone else who has just a little bit more than they do.
I've talked to people who claim to be Christians, told them that Liberal candidate so and so is all for drilling holes in babies' heads and sucking the brains out, and had that person tell me that they STILL would vote for that politician because he was promising them more free health care. It's mind-boggling.

A Muslim leader from Dearborn met privately with Sen. Barack Obama during his Wednesday visit to Michigan.

Imam Hassan Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America, said in an email that he met with Obama at Macomb Community College. A mosque spokesman, Eide Alawan, confirmed that the meeting took place. During the meeting, the two discussed the Presidential election, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the Iraq war, according to Qazwini.

At the end of the meeting, Qazwini said he gave Obama a copy of new book, “American Crescent,” and invited Obama to visit his center.

The meeting with Obama came about after Qazwini had asked David Bonior, the former U.S. Rep. from Michigan, if he could meet with Obama during his visit. Qazwini was not selected to be part of a group of 20 people who met with Obama, but Qazwini later got a private meeting with Obama, Alawan said.

“They gave him an opportunity for a one-on-one,” Alawan said.

Obama was also in Macomb County for campaign stops at the college and a Chrysler auto plant.

Born in Iraq into a long line of Shi’ite clerics, Qazwini and his family left for Iran to escape persecution under the regime of Saddam Hussein. He later moved to the U.S. and become head of the Dearborn mosque, one of the largest Shi’ite Muslim centers in the U.S.

Qazwini has also met several times with President Bush and other elected officials.

Barack Obama claims he's against HAMAS and Hezbollah and is offended by President Bush's speech in Israel about Obama's ethos of "appeasement." So why is he meeting with one of Hezbollah's most important imams and agents in America, Imam Hassan Qazwini? And why is this open anti-Semite and supporter of Israel's annihilation getting to discuss "the Arab-Israeli conflict" in a private one-on-one meeting with Obama? What was said? I think we can do the math.

I've written about Qazwini and his mosque for almost a decade. He is tight with the Government of Iran, and he is an agent of the Iranian government, spreading its propaganda. He was sent to the U.S. by Iran to help radicalize his mosque, the Islamic Center of America, which--at the time--was becoming moderate with women not covering their hair and mixing with men. All that has changed, under Qazwini.

Qazwini is very open about his support for Palestinian homicide bombings, HAMAS, and Hezbollah. And he's a good friend of Hezbollah spiritual leader, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah--the man who issued the fatwa to Hezbollah terrorists to murder over 300 U.S. Marines and U.S. Embassy civilians in cold blood. Qazwini's mosque has held rallies and celebrations in support of Hezbollah, and many of Hezbollah's biggest money-launderers and agents in America are his congregants.

When I went undercover to his mosque in 1998, he and others welcomed Nation of Islam chief racist Louis Farrakhan as "our dear brother" and "a freedom fighter." Qazwini applauded Farrakhan's anti-Semitic statements saying that Jews were the "forces of Satan" and that there needed to be a "jihad" on the American people.

Above is a photo of Qazwini hanging out with Hezbollah's Fadlallah--who is on the State Department Terrorist List--in South Lebanon, where he went to visit him and pay tribute. Juxtapose that with the photo of Qazwini and Barack Obama. It says a lot about the company Obama keeps . . . and why he shouldn't be President:

Um, Saddam wasn't off the mark regarding Qazwini and his family. They were agents of Iran who were trying to overthrow him on behalf of the Khomeini'ists. And the fundamentalist Islamic form of government Qazwini espouses is far worse Saddam Hussein's killing fields (though it's far less secular than Saddam was). The only other difference is that in his view those bloody fields should be dominated by victorious Shi'ites, not Saddam's Sunnis.

Well, Obama has the support of HAMAS . . . and now, Hezbollah. And we should send him to the White House because . . .?

It not only happened, the Obama spin machine, who kept silent until the Debbie Schlussel blog posted it, is now in full attack mode on anyone who mentions it. They even try to portray the Imam as a good, misunderstood Muslim cleric who also met with Bush and other elected officials (like Dean, who I mentioned). A brief perusal of the Imam' website however, especially if you read his sermons and articles gives a clear view of his positions.

No one cared. No one, that is, until Debbie Schlussel, one of the more unhinged members of the conservative blogosphere, argued the day after the Obama meeting, “Barack Obama claims he’s against HAMAS and Hezbollah and is offended by President Bush’s speech in Israel about Obama’s ethos of ‘appeasement.’ So why is he meeting with one of Hezbollah’s most important imams and agents in America, Imam Hassan Qazwini? … What was said? I think we can do the math.”

Schlussel went on to accuse Qazwini, without proof, of being “an agent of the Iranian government,” and a supporter of “Palestinian homicide bombings, HAMAS, and Hezbollah.” She added that the Wednesday meeting “says a lot about the company Obama keeps … and why he shouldn’t be President.”

Schlussel also quoted the Detroit Times Free Press article noting the Obama meeting, but omitted the one sentence that undermined her vacuous smear.

The article concluded, “Qazwini has also met several times with President Bush and other elected officials.”

Yep, this allegedly radical, terrorist-supporting agent of Iran is so dangerous, he’s been able to hang out with George W. Bush.

Schlussel’s attack was widely parroted by the far-right, with the usual suspects charactering the Obama meeting as something scandalous. One argued, “BHO isn’t even officially the Democratic nominee yet and already he’s meeting terrorist supporters — and Iran by proxy.”

And none of them though to click the link and read, “Qazwini has also met several times with President Bush and other elected officials.”

Better yet, Oliver Willis posted some photos of Qazwini hanging out with Bush, including one in which the president gives the imam a little smooch on the cheek.

What the article does NOT say however is how close this Imam is to known terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, nor his history of hate speech against Israel.
So, yes it happened, and luckily, it was caught.
Not that that matters to the Obamamorons...

The way people were spinning this story, it was inferred that Obama was meeting with a suporter of Iran, and not a refugee from Iraq. Meeting with someone with Irani ties would not have made any sense, for Obama to do. Meeting with a refugee from the Sadam days of Iraq rule makes perfect sense.
