SHERIFF’S SWITCHBOARD FLOODED. .
.
New Phone Line Set Up to Accept Contributions

Phoenix, AZ - Hours after the Arizona Governor announced she was taking away a $1.2 million dollar grant used by the Sheriff to fight illegal immigration, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office switchboard went ablaze with phone calls.
Irate citizens called volunteering their own money to help Sheriff Joe Arpaio continue his fight against illegal immigration. Local Phoenix radio stations have reportedly raised money and the Sheriff’s Office itself has now had to dedicate a phone line to accept all the calls and provide the necessary information.

“I am not asking for anyone to contribute money to make up for what the Governor took away,” says Arpaio. “But I’m grateful to those who want to support my efforts so much that they are willing to give their own money.”

According to office staff, phones have been coming in from throughout Arizona and other states as well, including one call from a group in California representing 10,000 people who wish to donate.

Donations can be mailed to the downtown Sheriff’s Office and made out to the MCSO
Donation Fund and must be earmarked “for illegal immigration.”

Checks must be mailed to 100 West Washington, Suite 1900, Phoenix, Arizona
85003.

A 'maker', not a 'taker'!
Any presidential candidate....

.....that can tap into the latent anger in this country about illegals would win in an unbelievable landslide. The unholy trinity running for the office now doesn't have a clue what the average citizen thinks about this issue, or they really don't care what we the people think at all. I'm trending towards the second opinion.

I think people are starting to wake up. TPTB had better start listening to these average citizens.

Lisa,

Ya beat me to it -- exactly my thoughts.

More to the point -- the "Sheriff Joes" of America need to stand and be counted -- the time is NOW.

Well...alleluia to my fellow Americans.

However...

There is SUCH an agenda underneath the surface. Problem is, we can't absolutely put our finger on the agenda. We just know SOMETHING is up. The most simple of concepts is still being ignored...and I'll say it AGAIN AND AGAIN...

We were attacked on September 11th, 2001. We were dealt a huge blow, maybe not in total numbers of lives lost (paltry in comparison to other stats), but a HUGE psychological one. And the very very least we could have done...THE VERY LEAST...would be to do something that would have protected our country, been consistent with the times, and been a huge boost for our morale....

WE SHOULDA/COULDA CLOSED THE BORDERS!!! Alllllllllllllllllllllll of them. North and South. But we didn't. And the illegal alien problem just mushroomed. And the political correctness activism bulls**t that I have to listen to on a nearly daily basis by THOSE THAT ARE SWORN TO PROTECT THIS COUNTRY BY WAY OF IT'S CONSTITUTION makes me wonder what the REAL story is underneath the veneer of our government. It makes me HIGHLY suspicious when an elected member sitting in a state's highest position takes money AWAY from a righteous cause.

This is but one dot in a sea of dots that scares the hell out of me about the future of this country. I'm just grateful that Americans are speaking out and not simply readusting their easy chairs and changing the channel to watch the latest American Idol crap.

I have SOME hope....

Who wants to wager that the Governor of Arizona is an Obama supporter? .
She came out very early for him - interesting in that Hil has been her role model for years, but she had no hesitation about throwing her under the bus. I hope Joe receives far more money than the amount she diverted from his department. What an outrage!
