Pro Flowers Scam

Beware of these people. When ordering flowers from them it seems they like to throw in some sort of Easy Saver scam on you, without you knowing it, and also by sharing your credit card number with the Easy Saver. I ordered flowers for Mother's Day and everything was fine for a couple of days, then Easy Saver decides to start hitting your credit card with charges you never approved of. First was for $1.95, then came another $14.95 charge. I called and had all the charges refunded by ProFlowers and even the lady who helped me said it was a bad scam. They have done this to thousands of people she said. Never again will I order anything from these idiots.

What a rip-off!
I always order MIL flowers for her birthday, Mother's Day etc., but I use Teleflora. We have never had a problem with them. The thing I like most is that I can choose the florist in her hometown that she likes the best. Flowers always arrive fresh and on time.

Lots of folks have been unhappy with them lately, check out their BBB report:

The Better Business Bureau has received many complaints about this. Evidently after your purchase is complete there is an ad for a 15.00 discount or coupon. Hidden somewhere in the fine print is the terms of agreement for the Easysaver Rewards program. It is a membership that charges you 1.95 for the first month, and then 14.95 per month thereafter.

This is written just above where you put your information in to activate the coupon:

"JUST ENTER YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS AND ZIP CODE AS YOUR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE AND CLICK YES BELOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR EASYSAVER REWARDSSM MEMBERSHIP AS DESCRIBED IN OFFER DETAILS"

Here is a link to the info above

Whenever I see something like this, I always look at the terms of agreement before clicking. There's almost always a catch.

I usually find it easiest and most reliable to find a florist in the area and call them directly. I have had some very personal service that way....and costs the same.

I've used ProFlowers several times and they were great every time, flowers last a long time. I never accept any of the extra offers from any of the online retailers, maybe that's where you went wrong. I'll be extra careful on my next order with them. Thanks for the warning.

I would take Monty's warning to heart. It is VERY VERY VERY common in Internet ads online now to have very small print (literally--small font), and LEGALLY they are fine. But ETHICALLY they're one step lower than pond scum. Be VERY VERY careful. This happens a lot--"forced subscription" to some reoccurring charge, and you didn't know any different.

Keep this in mind--this may be helpful--if you can't read the small print or don't want to, than don't click on any words or buttons that say "I accept" or "Yes" or "Let's Do This!!" or "Spank Me and Call Me Susan" (ok on that last one I got carried away!!!)...but seriously, liberal use of the red X on the upper right hand corner of a window....that's your safest bet.
