Boy found alive in School Rubble in China

I was just watching the NBC National News and they showed video of a child found alive in the rubble of the school.

A father rushed from the crowd and tried to get a look at the child and cried out - I know that is my son. One of the workers held him back and the child was whisked away in the ambulance.

The father was smiling and crying and hugging the worker and I couldn't help but start to cry myself. The news report left us to believe that there was no way of knowing if that was his son (because if it was - why wasn't the father allowed to go with him in the ambulance?)

But the father was determined to cling to that hope. The alternative was unthinkable. As the ambulance drove away, the father hugged the worker and the worker hugged him back. The tears and smiles from the father and worker created an emotion within my own heart that was so difficult - that only tears could help me to cope - and I am just an observer.

The tragedy that is happening in China right now is beyond many of our own ability to understand how we would cope.

These parents are only allowed one child and in the rubble of that school - their entire future of their family is held.

Praying for all.

Bless you, Emily, for posting that little miracle in this ginormous tragedy. I just ache for these people and it's nice for a change to cry tears of relief and joy than the tears for and with the relatives cradling loved ones seen online.

God is speaking to us.

The Pulse......
I read some posts in threads about how the Chinese deserved this catastrophy...because they are communists.... I am one of the biggest anti-commies on the board.....but I'll tell you - NO ONE deserves this.
If you harden your heart to the point that you take satisfaction in anothers suffering...then I think Jesus had some words for you....:smkd:

It breaks my heart to see these people in such despair looking for their children, their families....:shk:

Mother and Fathers share a universal bond with their children.....their grief is as awful for them as it would be for me...maybe even more because they can only have one child... :shk:

I am confused - do you think I posted this to take some joy?
I certainly did not. My heart is grieving terribly for the pain they are going through.

No, he said he was upset how others on another thread could be heartless and not have compassion for what these people are going through, regardless of their political affiliation.

Oh good! Thank you so much. I was feeling quite saddened that anyone would think that was the purpose for my post.

Thank you again!
