For my brother..small update post 38

My brother (Glen) went to the Marshfield Clinic for some routine tests. Those tests involved an IV. Brother always passes out at the sight of needles, blood, etc. Nurse says...lets do a tilt test. Sure enough he passes out. Only problem: his heart stopped while he was passed out. Now, years ago, when he passed out after knee surgery and I was helping him out...I told him his heart stopped, he now believes me. They want to put in a pacemaker.

I will most likely be headed up there to help him out, not sure if it will be tomorrow or over the weekend.

Please say a prayer for my brother. I know they do thousands of pacemakers a year, but you know how it is when its happening to you and yours.

TIA

Been there and done that with the needle thing. Since learning to give animals vaccinations I've gotten a bit better about it. Prayers sent for your bro!

This too shall pass.
Praying. I know how you feel -- one of my brothers had serious back surgery done without telling any of us until afterwards, and we were so upset! We would have been there for him if we'd known.

Needles are not my favorite thing either. Her's hoping for complete success and a speedy recovery. With love and prayers, warandra.

Hubby had one put in last year, know how scary it can be, even tho' they say it's a "routine" procedure. Praying for your family, and a speedy recovery.

Blessings

Small update. His heart stopped for 15 seconds while he was passed out. The pacemaker will be installed later today. They want to redo the tilt test, so I don't know when he will be released. He's not sure he will need me to help him, but I will prolly go up for a few days anyway.

Small update...
Pacemaker is in. Talked to him briefly, he was still very groggy. He's not in CICU which I'm taking as a good sign (no one burst my bubble on this one by saying..oh, no, he wouldn't be in CICU lol). I'll know alot more tomorrow when he is coherent.

Thank you all for your prayers. :)
