Missing Passed Loved ones At Christmas

Okay folks, this Does mention Jesus Christ and heaven, . I noticed there has been some debate lately about these type threads should be put in religious and nowhere else---
So if you are offended by that type writing, just stop right here, okay?.

I am putting it here so hopefully as many people as possible who might need this, will see it before it gets moved.

But for those of you who might have lost someone and miss them so much at Christmas, I do hope you like this

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN

I see the countless Christmas trees
around the world below
With tiny lights, like heaven's stars
reflecting in the snow

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away the tears
For I am spending Christmas with
Jesus Christ this year.

I hear many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with
The Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you,
The joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description
to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me
I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away
We really aren't apart.

So be happy for me dear ones,
You know I hold you dear
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift
From heavenly home above
I sent you each a memory
Of my undying love.

After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold
It was always most important
in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other
As my Father said to do
For I can't count the blessings or love He has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and
Wipe away those tears
Remember, I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

Does too have a life!
Thanks Surprise. This is the time of the year that we most miss our loved ones. We always wish for them to come back but I think we should rather wish to go to them. They are, by far, in the better place.

Thanks

I miss James horribly at Christmas, especially when I put up that huge tree that he somehow managed to drag home on the city bus.

Nice post Suprise. I too have noticed that there are a lot of folks who have just recently lost someone or who are going to be spending their first Christmas without a loved one. This is a nice gesture.

Even though my husband died almost 20 years ago, I still miss him terribly at this time of year. I feel it the deepest during the holidays. Thanks for reminding me that he is ok... It is I who still suffers from his absence.

This time of the year is sad when it unfortunately shouldn't be. Tomorrow will be 10 years that my dear ol Dad passed away from a massive cornary. He was 56. It shocked us all. Not that we didn't expect it someday, just not then.

I hate it when "I'll be home for Christmas" comes on the radio. I can remember like it was yesterday. I stood in my kitchen looking out the window on Christmas day, ten years ago, the tears rolling down my face, the snow falling outside, thinking "why?" My great Dad, he was my best friend.

Just recently a 13 year old boy in a neighboring town took his life. Rumor has it he was playing that axfilxiation (sp) game. My heart breaks for his parents. I have a card but haven't been able to sit down and write in it yet.

Please pray for them. As hard as it was to lose my Dad, their heartache is unimaginable.

Thanks

Deceased
My Mom died in 1966. Dad died a year and a half later.

Like cathypeanut, 'I'll be home for Christmas' song just killed me, especially the first time I heard it in the season.

As the years have gone by, I now get comfort and paying attention to it so much, I know all the words and sing it many times during the Christmas season.

I understand that the song was written for our soldiers during WWII and for them not being home for Christmas.

But it applies to us all. We really cant get back 'home' for that Christmas of being together with our departed loved ones.

But they do live in our heart dont they?

I am such a terrible typist, I started not to do this.
I am glad now I did. Makes me feel good that it comforted.

Thanks for posting this. We lost one of our dearest friends just before Christmas 12 years ago. He was our daughter's godfather and one of our boys is named for him. Time and God's mercy have been great healers, but there are moments....
