Boca pooch shop gets burglarized for $8,000 worth of doggy accessories

Someone walked in the unlocked front door of Doggy Chic about 11:20 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Southeast Mizner Boulevard and made off with $8,000 in "stylish" dog goods. That included leashes, collars, bowls and snacks, police said.

The dog shop in Royal Palm Plaza has a cage free grooming area, daily fresh baked pooch treats and diamond accessories. The shop also hosted the first ever "America's Top Dog Model," in January.

The burglary is under investigation.
