Should be a good show. Hopefully that is all it will be. Waves of this size can reach all the way up the beach at high tide and hit houses along the shore, so it could get messy.

Thankyou NC Susan for posting that link! My old computer went t*ts up and I lost everything in my favorites and I couldn't find that one particular link. Yea-yay!
And yea-yay! I see the 'popcorn clouds' in that front coming in which most of the time means snow in our future! Aaaaahhhh, how I've missed the snow...V |

Wonder how that will effect the O'Neill's Cold Water Classic surfing championship at famous Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz CA.
Event started Monday and ends on Sunday IIRC. Heats were cancelled today due to low swell. Previous events this year in the series were held in Tasmania, Scotland, South Africa and Canada. http://www.oneill.com/cwc |

W. Washington weather may be factor in 1 death
A weather system moving through the Northwest has brought high winds and heavy rains to areas of Western Washington and may have been a factor in one death. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...writethru.html SEATTLE — A weather system moving through the Northwest has brought high winds and heavy rains to areas of Western Washington and may have been a factor in one death. At Shoreline's Hamlin Park north of Seattle, a 40-year-old man was killed Thursday evening when he was struck by part of a falling tree as he and his wife walked their dog. Shoreline Fire spokeswoman Melanie Granfors says windy weather may have contributed to the accident. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Skokomish River near Potlatch until Friday afternoon, with minor flooding forecast. Winds gusting to 54 mph battered Whatcom County and scattered power outages were reported in many areas of Western Washington on Thursday. The Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from Friday evening through Saturday evening for the north and central Washington Cascades. |
