The story..
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.
"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added.
Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.
The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.
Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.

My take, is the may test a nuclear weapon. I think we will see info released in the coming days showing Iran has acquired nuclear weapons.

It will be Israel’s immediately problem to handle the elimination of Syria’s 10,000 + missiles capable of hitting every part of Israel. Syria is the second part of the threat to the ME in its allegiance with Iran.
China is the thorn in the ‘take down’ with Iran, Russia has backed up and China is the player now standing with the Iranian Supreme Leader. Hillary is beginning to talk tough with China about Iran.
It is getting close, as the Obama sanctions will shortly fail or never be realized due to the China connection. Possibly the only course of action left for anyone is a pre-emptive by the US. I would not be surprised to see Israel take out Syria as the US takes down Iran in a few months.

What he is doing is inviting Israel to conclude that he is going to set off a nuke at that time, which is the same as inviting Israel to attack him prior to that date. It almost seems as though he wants Israel to attack him. I believe he does. If Israel draws first blood, they will be seen as the aggressor, which will give Ahmadinejad the green light to unleash his war upon the oil consumers of the world
By the way, a scenario like this one would be very advantageous to Russia, which would benefit greatly by a doubling of the crude oil price.

AHMADINEJAD's entire purpose, the whole reason he is president is exactly that. He is simply there to make noise, "fire for effect", and probably has less control within Iran's government than the guy who cleans his office ashtray.
Whatever Iran has going on happens tween Mullahs in the back room. Meanwhile, Ahmadinejad babbles away and the whole world scurries hither and yon, over what he says. The Mullahs laugh. Their people worry.

Yep. And that fist has been coming down harder lately in response to the increasing desire for governmental change there.
And Iran has to raise it's voice every so often just so the rest of the world won't forget they're there, acting like a pushy threatening kid on the playground that can't back up his words with actions.
