College students ask President Obama to spy on FOX NEWS employees

By Josiah Ryan & Shane McGonigal, on Jun 17, 2013

Students at George Mason University (GMU) signed a petition early this month asking President Obama to listen in on the "private conversations" of all Fox News employees and their families.

The petition, which was circulated on GMU's flagship campus in Fairfax, Va, near Washington D.C., by Media Research Center video reporter Dan Joseph, described the right-leaning news channel as “a threat to media integrity and an informed populace.”
“We want the to be able to legally read their private e-mails and listen in on phone conversations between Fox News employees and their associates and their families," Joseph explained to students, asking for their support.
Reactions were mixed. While a handful of students appealed to a "the First Amendment" and the right to privacy, several described their "hate" for the news channel.
“Can you give me some time to think about this?,” asked one student before eventually providing his signature.
Another student expressed frustration that such a surveillance program would likely conflict with constitutional law.
“It’s virtually impossible but its a good cause,” she said. “I like your cause.”
In all, eleven GMU students signed the petition in about 45 minutes, according to Joseph.
On May 19, 2013, the Washington Post reported that the U.S. Department of Justice had monitored Fox News Reporter James Rosen's personal telephone calls and read his emails as part of an investigation into a leak.
The DOJ obtained permission through a FISA court for the wiretap after Attorney General Eric Holder personally signed a complaint naming him a "criminal co-conspirator" in the case.

"What do college kids know?

They're still just kids and the only thing different is that they're walking around with adult plumbing.

They haven't put 'time' in like us Adults."

This from an Sioux Elder named Jack Rabbit (May God rest his soul). V

They "know" all the socialist propaganda that their professors spent so much time indoctrinating them in.
Oh and they can vote.

I've attended classes at three different universities in my life. The liberal arts college of most campuses are, well, liberal. Same for education colleges at any university. In fact, the only real bastion of conservative thought I found was in the business colleges, naturally. I dated an education major and the environment between the two couldn't have been more diametrically opposed: bust your ass for a decent grade versus show up every day and get an A.

Yep and just wait til they get out of college and try to find a job in the 'real world'. Most of them will find it hard with say, their degrees in 'underwater basket weaving'.

But for now they are just children memorizing and regurgitating what they're brains are fed by they're tenured Pinko professors (not all professors are like this but many are at least in Seattle), not really grasping what communism is really all about and that they just might put themselves naively in a place where they will live that type of life in their adult life. They will build their futures. V

How do you think those pinko professors got where they are? The are the deans of colleges and the heads of departments.
Look at our government. You ever wonder where all those leftists from 40 years ago went. They are senior executives in corporations, highly placed government officials. They are firmly embedded in positions of authority in our society, and they are training their replacements.

I see they partake of the kool aid. Faux news is at least half owned by Saudi folk, and to say Faux is 'conservative' is asinine. More likely they are singling Faux out to set a precedent and gain acceptance of illegal activities by the dictators against all news organizations so they can overcome the few truly conservative agencies without public outcry.

It's never what it seems to be about.

Reset
someone should do an identical petition on the same campus for bugging libtard msm "news" reporters and their families.

I REALLY wish people would quit slamming underwater basket weaving... the program is not for pussies, in fact most of us graduates are not only conservative but we brush our teeth with a brush made from the hairs of a badgers ass! Collecting those hairs is not for the faint of heart, a live badger is required and the plucking of said hairs is rather intense. Nope there were no liberals in my underwater basket weaving classes, only conservatives.

Well...shit
Having gone to college, I can say that college students are the dumbest people I've ever met. It was like drowning in a sea of mediocrity.

By the same age, Boomers were already dying for their country, working full time, raising a family and caring for the rest of their extended family. The kids in Gen Y can't get off of their XBox and out of Mommies basement let alone work.

They're still babies because we've raised them that way. It's our fault. We wussified them and sent them off to be indoctrinated in schools. In general, the parents are not involved in their upbringing, so they have no morals or wisdom to pass on to them as they grow.

Recipe for disaster. History is going to repeat itself soon enough. Quite easy to do in today's world.
