CRIME 18 Year Old Lesbian Not A Pedophile For Having Sex With 14 Year Old?? Here It Comes!

It wasn't too long ago that folks were up in arms about recognizing lesbian, gay, transsexual relationships as being normal. There were a bunch of posts all over the internet about how that would lead to bestiality, pedophilia, and a whole host of other sex crimes. There was also speculation as to how long it would be that all the sex crimes folks were worried about would start to be "accepted" and normal.

Wellllll, here's the first, brought to us by our respected reporters at CBS. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_...er-same-sex-underage-relationship-speaks-out/

It seems that poor, innocent, Kaitlyn Hunt has been in a lesbian relationship with a very underage girl.........Kaitlyn just turned 18 (which is where part of the problem lies) and the other girl is a mere freshman in high school, barely 14! Poor Kailyn says ""I'm scared of losing the rest of my life, not being able to go to college, and be around kids, and my sisters, and my family," Hunt told a group of reporters outside Sebastian River High School in Sebastian, Fla., where authorities say the relationship started. "

It seems that this relationship has been going on for a while. Supposedly, "Hunt played on the basketball team with her younger girlfriend and shared the same circle of friends, Hunt's mother, Kelley Hunt Smith, has said. The two had a consenting relationship that began soon after Kaitlyn Hunt turned 18, and Hunt Smith said she assumed the younger girl's parents knew that."

Poor, misunderstood, persecuted Kaitlyn has been offered a deal "Hunt has until Friday to accept a plea deal offered by prosecutors that would allow her to avoid registering as a sex offender if she pleads guilty to lesser charges of child abuse. State Attorney Bruce Colton said he would recommend two years of house arrest followed by one year probation if she takes the deal.

If she is found guilty, it's also possible that Hunt could apply to not have to register as a sex offender under a "Romeo and Juliet" law because the girls were no more than four years apart in age, Colton said. "

State Attorney Bruce Colton kinda sorta has it right ""The law doesn't make any differentiation. It doesn't matter if it's two girls or two boys, or an older boy and a younger girl or an older girl and a younger boy. Whatever the combination, it doesn't matter," Colton said. He said the law is designed to protect younger children from older children who might be more aggressive in starting a relationship." But he's gonna accept a deal.

Of course, the article kind of dances around the point that some organizations are trying to make this a gay persecution thing.....which seems like it's a hell of a bold push to legalize pedophilia, at least for gays (who only wanted equality, right? :kk1: ).

THIS IS WRONG! You can say all you like as loud and as long as you like, an 18 year old having sex with a 14 year old is against the law and should be punished equally, male or female, gay or straight. Yes, the perp should have to be registered as a sex offender for the rest of their lives.

Not the first adult, child relationship that I have seen among homosexuals. Because their plumbing won't lead to the creation of children, and homosexuals are treated as if they are special and wonderful in every way, they are often given a pass by society.

In reality, it's just their technique to turn more people homosexuals. Argue all you want, but there's tons of evidence that the majority of homosexuals are made, not born.

Pedophilia and statutory rape are entirely different things. A person is not a pedophile just because they have sex with someone under the legal age of consent. Pedophilia is established by the mindset of the older person, and evidence can be adduced by the relative degrees of sexual maturity of the two. 5-year-olds playing doctor are not pedophiles. An 18-year-old playing doctor with a 5-year-old might well be a pedophile.

In this case, if the younger girl is pubertal or post-pubertal, there is no grounds to call the older one a pedophile. The law may use that phrasing, but the law is a notoriously bad doctor.

Statutory rape, on the other hand, is defined by statute. If this falls under statutory rape in the district having jurisdiction, then what they did is illegal. Not pedophilia, but illegal.

Equal rights really suck when they are applied to those who want to be equal only some of the time. Ms. Hunt, welcome to the world of the white male.

I don't think Ms. Hunt is pedophile in the truest sense of the word. However, statutory rape is clearly defined by law. And this is not the first case of the parents waiting till what the undesirable attained the age of 18 to press charges.

Ms. Hunt is guilty of two sins:

1. Inappropriate sex with a child, however defined legally

2. Being a homosexual

The criminalization of America continues. I hate to burst everyone's bubble here, but kids don't magically go through puberty at sixteen years old. I know a few girls who started their periods in fifth grade, with the majority of the kids going through puberty in sixth, seventh, and eight grade. Most fourteen year olds are sexual beings, and while it can cause numerous issues, that is what we have to deal with. Combining young adults who have been through puberty is going to cause most of them to have some sort of sexual activity. If this is so wrong, then by all means, split high school into two groups: Freshman and Sophomores, and Juniors and Seniors. The young adults should have zero, zip, nada in terms of interacting. No more JV sports and varsity sports, no 17 year old senior taking a 16 year old sophomore to prom. The lower class school has their sports, totally unrelated to the upper class school.

If we continue to allow there to be interacting between these young sexual beings, we need to understand what will happen. It isn't fair to give someone a life sentence for normal human behavior. Being a listed sex offender is a life sentence.

Indiana's age of consent is sixteen, unless the person is in some position of power (teacher, scout leader, military recruiter, public safety, etc.), then it is 18. That is to prevent 21+ old folks from targeting 16-17 high school aged students and getting away with it. However, even our state has an exception to the law when it deals with an 18 year old senior and 14 or 15 year old student:

(e) It is a defense to a prosecution under this section if all the following apply:
(1) The person is not more than four (4) years older than the victim.
(2) The relationship between the person and the victim was a dating relationship or an ongoing personal relationship. The term "ongoing personal relationship" does not include a family relationship.
(3) The crime:
(A) was not committed by a person who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age;
(B) was not committed by using or threatening the use of deadly force;
(C) was not committed while armed with a deadly weapon;
(D) did not result in serious bodily injury;
(E) was not facilitated by furnishing the victim, without the victim's knowledge, with a drug (as defined in IC 16-42-19-2(1)) or a controlled substance (as defined in IC 35-48-1-9) or knowing that the victim was furnished with the drug or controlled substance without the victim's knowledge; and
(F) was not committed by a person having a position of authority or substantial influence over the victim.
(4) The person has not committed another sex offense (as defined in IC 11-8-8-5.2) (including a delinquent act that would be a sex offense if committed by an adult) against any other person.

I still scratch my head over the idea that somehow the number of times a person rides the Earth around the Sun after already fully going through puberty matters. Of course it only matters because many people refuse to recognize that most fourteen and up aged adults are just that, adults. Instead, we treat them like children, almost until the time they graduate college. We say they don't have the mentality. If that is true, blame those who are raising this generation for that.

Unfortunately for this girl, she lives in a state that really, really cares how many times post-puberty persons ride the Earth around the Sun if those persons engage in sexual activity. She should have lived in Indiana or other states with similar Romeo and Juliet defenses to the law.

Okay while I may have disagreements with some of what is going on - some information that I received from another source. The younger girl is 15. The girls have been in a relationship for over a year. The parents of the younger girl waited until the older girl turned 18 then pressed charges.

If this wasn't a lesbian relationship many would have problems with those tactics. This should have been dealt with by parents well before now. The way they are doing it now is just pure bully tactics.

Well I teach in a university here in China. Over 90% of my students are young ladies. They share dorm rooms together etc. Quite a lot get into lesbian relationships. Most have no religion but most Western kids don't have either these days.

Most of them I expect here will eventually give up on their lesbian relationships and lead a normal married life. I think the government needs to butt out and lets parents etc make the decisions.

Back home in Australia the government encourages these types of relationships so you can hardly give a kid a criminal record for following a government encouraged activity.

Do I think it is good for young people to get into Gay relationships? Hell no but whose fault is it?

The government needs a class action against it for their support for such behavior not criminal proceeding taken against young people.

CC is on the right track. The government schools spend billions and years of education teaching our kids that homosexuality is a good thing.

Do a very few people have a natural propensity to be homosexual? Yes, but the vast majority of homosexuality is learned by early exposure to it.

They don't rely on nature to increase their numbers. They recruit and it ruins countless lives.

Kook

Considering the Biblical penalty for homosexuality is stoning, she's be getting off light with just a life sentence. In ancient Israel, both of them would be stoned. Not many 'made' homosexuals then. All this talk about 'natural' behavior is irrelevant. God is seriously against this stuff.

God is against yes. God however is talking to his people. Most of the current problem is from lack of Christian consoling by parents and teachers. Don't point the finger at the result instead of the cause.

Huh? He's against homosexuality. This deviant behaviour isn't a 'cause' or a 'result'. It's 'sin'.

Statutory rape? Yepper.

Pedophilia ??? Not if the younger one is post pubertal...clinical pedophilia requires that the younger one be pre-pubertal.

And if the parents waited for the older one's 18th BD to press charges t5his is a solid parental FAILblog.org,

Game-Changing Bombshell? There’s a Major Twist in the Story About a High School Student’s Lesbian Relationship With a Minor

May. 24, 2013 2:43pm Billy Hallowell

As Kaitlyn Hunt’s legal battle looms, her family continues to passionately defend her. All-the-while, the “Free Kate” movement is doubling-down in an effort to support the 18-year-old — a high school senior who has been expelled and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery of a child 12 to 16 years of age.
But now the family of the young girl she was dating is finally speaking up. And their account differs drastically from the one being touted by the Hunt family.

Laurie and Jim Smith (Photo Credit: WPEC-TV)

Laurie and Jim Smith told WPEC-TV that they aren’t the type of people who would normally go to the media and, to date, they have been silent regarding the alleged scandal that involves their 15-year-old daughter. The young, unnamed girl was, until earlier this year, dating Hunt.
Their comments are intriguing, as WPEC-TV claims that the Smith family’s revelations include a “bombshell that will likely turn this investigation on its head.”
And here it apparently is: “Our daughter was 14, and this girl was 18,” Jim told the outlet, clarifying previous inconsistencies surrounding the teens’ ages at the time of their relationship (previously, Hunt’s mother, Kelley, had written in a Facebook post that her daughter was 17 when the relationship began).
According to Laurie, she and her husband told Hunt that the relationship wasn’t right and, by their account, the older teen refused to listen. The “Free Kate” mantra, the Smiths maintain, hasn’t been an accurate one thus far.
“It’s not the way it was. It was quite different,” she said. “We had actually told Miss Hunt that this was wrong.”
The high schooler was allegedly warned twice.

But they are in a relationship, and she’s 18.’ 18? My daughter is only 14.”

When their daughter began acting out, as many teens do, she ran away. Jim called the shock “the worst thing” that he has ever experienced. Assuming that she wouldn’t have willingly fled, the parents initially assumed that someone took her — but that wasn’t the case.
After being told to stay away from their daughter, Kate purportedly picked up the 14-year-old. Because the relationship apparently didn’t stop, despite the aforementioned warnings, the Smiths said they had no choice but to turn to the law.
As far as the issue of homosexuality goes, Laurie and Jim seemed perplexed in their WPEC-TV interview. While they have been painted as anti-gay in media and slapped with allegations that they blame Hunt for their daughter’s sexuality, the embattled parents said that this isn’t how they feel about the issue.
“They made me seem as if I’m a monster,” Laurie said of bloggers’ attacks, noting that she and her husband have turned to the media to get their story out. “That’s why I’m talking to you…The stories that people are saying…I love my daughter and I am willing to do whatever to protect her.”
Watch the parents describe their side of the Kaitlyn Hunt story here. Earlier today, the 18-year-old refused a plea deal, which would have given her two years house arrest, one additional year of probation and a charge of child abuse. Hunt will have a June 20 court hearing; she could face up to 15 years behind bars (read more about the story).

The parents telling the older girl to stay away apparently worked about as well as it would for a boy of the same age. This kind of relationship happens a great deal between older boys and younger girls, including the parental forbidding and the girl rebelling against it. It is telling that the parents didn't even try to hit the older girl with a kidnapping charge. They know their daughter ran off on her own. At 15, the daughter is old enough to be capable of that kind of independent decision on an informed basis (even if she can't be trusted to make the right choice, at least she can correctly articulate the choice). Of course the daughter is going to call her closest acquaintance to pick her up when she leaves the house. That should have been a given. Frankly, IMHO, the parents are the ones who made the biggest mistake. The girls are just acting on hormones, like any teenager. (Just an aside, IMO the eyes of that older girl are frighteningly vacant). The parents of the younger girl should have been far more firm with the older girl, and more open with their daughter about the reasons for what they did. In a situation like this, anything less than "stay away, or I'll call the cops" isn't going to make an impression on the older half of the couple, and the parents have to be very careful not to make their actions seem arbitrary to the younger one. That last part is a damn fine line, very difficult to walk, and where that line is is heavily dependent on the young adult's mentality.

Jim Smith is my AC man. I've known him for several years now. He is the head of a God fearing, Christian family and I support them 100%! This is so sad, because the reason Hunt rejected the plea deal is driven by the vociferous gay-agenda crowd. The homosexual rights people love nothing more than to twist circumstances around to make them appear to be the victims. We haven't heard the last of this by any stretch of the imagination. Please pray for the Smiths.
