In order for these people to accept that we are dealing with two sides of the same coin they have to put aside all that they believed was true. Giving up their belief in two parties will shatter their world view. Most people's ego cannot survive such a blow so they steadfastly choose to believe in the false rather than accept what stands plainly before them.
What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again expecting that eventually they will get a different result.

The IRS scandal and to a lesser degree, the Associated Press and Fox news wiretap controversies, are mere diversions. Yes, they are embarrassing for the Obama administration but the culpability doesn't reach into the Oval office. And as we have seen...they are more than willing to sacrifice some low level functionary to the fury of a Congressional committee; if that's what it takes to get people's attention off of the real story...Benghazi. ~ LINK

I absolutely agree. When I finally opened my eyes during the 2004 election cycle, I was white-hot with anger at the absolute betrayal of my political beliefs at the hand of the elites. I went through all the stages of grief. Shock, anger, bargaining, etc. I realized that everything I'd believed as a young adult was a lie. That's why TO THIS DAY I get so angry at the "brain dead sheep" as I call them, for being too brainwashed to even THINK FOR THEMSELVES. As I've said on many political threads, most of the sheeple out IRL as well as on TB, actually NEED their politicians to lie to them. They need it like they need oxygen to survive. They refuse to even acknowledge the "sameness" of the main parties. (Troke is a perfect example of this.)
Nothing will ever change as long as the brain dead sheep deliberately stay asleep.

Doomer Doug thinks the AP wiretap is the critical issue here. The leftist media now knows Obama is a user and a thug. They are not defending him anymore Denis and John. Obama's press filter is letting stories like the IRS and Benghazi scandals get better coverage than they would have even last week.
Doomer Doug will remind everybody of the reason the Republicans took control of both the US Senate and House of Representatives in 1994. IT WAS DUE TO THE CHECK KITING SCANDAL. People realized that bs level of Democratic Party incumbents was so great they couldn't even bother to balance their checkbooks.
The IRS scandal is the same thing. The stupid Republicans aren't even an issue here Dennis. The thrust to get the IRS will come from the people who realize like the check writing scam that they will have to deal with it.
Doomer Doug thinks the combination of the AP scandal, which means the media will no longer defend Obama, as well as the clear and understandable nature of the IRS abuse will keep things alive. The Benghazi scandal will tried to be ignored, although that may also not happen.
