Sorry, folks. We just have not heard anything yet. We're going to try to give her a call tomorrow to check in. I've been worried all day, and praying. It's not like her not to check in somehow. I will post something just as soon as I hear. Thank you again for your prayers. Our Lord is the ultimate healer and comforter. I know He hears us. I'm sure she's giving those doctor's a what-for, telling them she needs to get back home to her goats and chicks and garden.

Stay tuned...

Please DO let us know as soon as you hear anything---and if you're in communication with her directly, tell her we all miss her & are praying.

I read thru the thread and will try to answer the questions I remember. I spoke with mom this afternoon. She has pneumonia in both lungs and there is a question of her heart, but nothing can be confirmed until the other condition is cleared. No surgery was mentioned, just doing some tests in the next day or two. The doctor originally said she would be hospitalized for a couple days, but she isn't planning to go anywhere soon. She's in one of the Kalamazoo hospitals. If I heard the name I'd know, but I don't recall at the moment. Mom has had a terrible time with allergies this year, having an allergic reaction to a new inhaler as well. When that happened, things just didn't get better for her.

One of her sons is at the house keeping things in order with her husband, mother, and all the critters. So that is covered for her. He leaves for a few hours each evening to make the long trip to the hospital. That might back off when she is more stabilized, but it works for now.

I told her I'd call again in a day or two. I don't want to interfere with her recovery calling too often because we don't know when to stop talking. I'll let you know if I learn more.
