Just returned from a 4 day trip to Denver area to visit family. My son who lives in suburban Denver is ex Military (MP), and ex LEO/Corrections. He suggested a trip to a local gun range as he had not practiced for some time. He wanted to stop at Wally World for ammo. I said good luck with that, he seemed perplexed. Old dad was right. Nothing on the shelves. We called the range and asked if by chance they had any 9mm for range use. They said "sure". So we get to the Centennial Gun Club and it is a candy store for gun people. Just wanted to see if my arthritic hands could still work, so I bought a box of 50 for $20. Not huge amounts on the shelf but plenty enough for a 5 box limit on various calibers. Since my son was new to the area, they comped the range time. Between us, we shot enough to feel competent. My kid says I'm good enough to hit what I shoot at, but a llittle messy around the edges. And by the way, the new law takes effect on July 1, but they had plenty of AR 20 and 30 rd mags. Get em before their hot!
