REL GENRL Pope Francis Performed his First Exorcism

POPE Francis has been embroiled in a scandal after footage emerged today appearing to show him giving a man an exorcism in St Peter's Square.

The astonishing incident between the Pontiff and the person in a wheelchair, took place immediately after Pentecostal mass on Sunday May 19.

The video shows how a priest leans across the boy or young man to tell Francis something, at which point the Pope’s expression becomes more serious.



The Pontiff then grips the top of the subject’s head firmly and is seen pushing him down into his wheelchair.

As this is happening Francis recites an intense prayer, and the boy’s mouth drops wide open and he exhales sharply.

Francis’s usual smile then returns and he continues with the traditional and more gentle Sunday greetings for sick or disabled visitors to St Peter’s.




La Repubblica newspaper this morning quoted an exorcism expert has saying: “It was a prayer of liberation from evil or even a real exorcism.”

The leading Roman exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth, said: “Francis is also the Bishop of Rome and like all bishops he’s an exorcist.”

The new Pope has made it quite clear since his election that he believes the Devil, whom refers to as “the Enemy” and “The Prince of this World” is a real force that needs to be fought constantly.

The Vatican has downplayed the incident, filmed by the religious satellite channel TV2000, saying it was simple prayer.

The former Pope, Benedict XVI, never performed an exorcism, Francis is on record as having performed them, however, as was Benedict’s predecessor John Paul II.

Yep, he was just doing his job. I think the journalist may have made that up to make the story more titillating. It adds more shock value to the story, thus more readers. V

I am, however, curious about the music and the 'choking' sound . . . is that 'choking' sound really from the individual, or was it dubbed in after the fact?

Those who read and believe the Bible know that Christ gives every Believer the right to do this in His Name.

It's a scandal? Perhaps the press could use an exorcism. I've been taught that you don't go looking for those things but you don't run from them either. If they pop up right in front of you they are to be cast out in the name of Jesus. Good for the Pope.

Because with the man, he was willing and looks like he asked for it. If the vessel isn't willing to get rid of the evil entity, why bother?

I don't quite understand the shock and awe of the story they are making out. Why is it so shocking that the head of the Catholic Church is fighting evil where he sees it? Shouldn't that be what he is doing every day? Why is it news? Exorcism should be part of their daily duties on one level or another. Fight it where you see it.

I guess the news is that no one has done it before so publically, which probably says a lot as to why there is so much scandal in the church. House divided...and all that. Well, that house is getting shored up, cleaned out and refurbished. I'm glad.

That is absolutely right Bethshaya. Father Malachai Martin who was the head exorcist for the Vatican under two popes talked about what he called the "Perfectly Possessed" and they go willingly to follow 'Old Scratch' and an exorcism doesn't work on them.

He said he went to a party in New York once (that's where he lived) where one of the attendee's is a major player in our gov., we all know who she is, and he knew just from looking at her and being in her presence that she was one of the 'perfectly possessed' and as he said, "I got the H*ll out of there!" One does Not want to be in the presence of such a person. He said that if you find yourself in the presence of such a person you should, "Run like H*ll!". V

We need to get him over here and do that with congress, senate and white house staff.

Exorcism, or deliverance, as Protestants call it, is certainly a part of authentic Christianity. Of course, it's authentic Christianity that makes the left extremely nervous. They would love to outlaw it. They would love to cause a 'scandal' around this Pope, since he apparently is not a phony believer, like many of them.

The choking sound with the mouth opening wide is the classic manifestation of the unclean spirit and the beginning of exit.

Presumably, the spirit was causing the supplicant's physical affliction.

Looked to me like the Pope was a bit surprised by the reaction and skidaddled...

If he intended to actually cast out the spirit(s) (and there's never just one these days), he would've continued until he received no more reaction from the supplicant. Of course, that can take a while and one must always follow-up later to ensure complete departure.

I spend a number of hours a week doing this. All power in heaven and earth is in the Name of Christ and He has granted us all authority over the Enemy (Lke. 9:1; Mat. 10:1) By the way, I'm not Catholic.

A good friend of mine, a devout Roman Catholic, accidentally ended up at a Mass of Healing. He is definitely not a 'speaking in tongues' type. What prompted me to ask him, was that he was walking around without his usual Canadian crutches, or walker. I asked him what gives? He told me about going to the special service. He noticed nothing until he got up to leave. He did not need his crutches. He was truly bewildered. He was not expecting that at all.

I watch the video, this was not an exorcism. Look at the demeanor of the person before Francis touched him. If he was possessed then the demon inside would NOT want a holy person near him. Therefore Francis is Not holy. Wake up Catholics, turn to the traditional Latin mass for true sacraments f the church. Don't tell me I am wrong, look back at the teachings before Vatican II and compare with novus ordo. From the video it seems this evil man, the false prophet implanted a demon in this man. Everything this man has done, even as a Cardinal was anti catholic. Research it

Probably because the afflicted must desire to be delivered. It won't work on those who love darkness rather than light.

The traditional Latin Mass is the only Mass that Fr. Martin said was valid. He considered the Novus Ordo Mass to be an "Invalid Mass" and to literally get up and leave. The Novus Ordo Mass left out many important parts.

Most importantly the Prayer to St. Michael (known as the Archangel Michael to non-Christians who may have not heard of him).

That prayer is major part of our Mass and is like a mini exorcism.

Here is the 'short' version:

Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,

There are different levels of influence to the soul by dem*ns.

This may be the case that the subject who the Pope excorcised was under an 'oppression' which means that the dem*n or dem*ns were not fully 'moved in' to take total control of the person.

I have seen a person who is 'perfectly possessed' and is the wife of someone my husband does business with. She cannot stand to be around me as she knows that I know. It is very fascinating to see the 'dark stranger' take over her. It's like 'something', not 'someone' is looking out her eyes. Very inhuman.

I rarely have to be in her presence Thank You God as she is a full blown poster child for Narcissistic Personality Disorder and absolutely loves doing all types of drugs (hubby brings in alot of dough and she does nothing but have 'fun' and he's too afraid of her. He's a total pussy). She likes to give the unsuspecting victims (people) the impression that she's a 'church lady' which is very nauseating to watch. And they all fall for it until she drops the facade.

So I did an experiment. I have in my possession one of the rare original Medal of the Immaculate Conception also knows as the Miraculous Medal rosaries which was one of the first medals struck on June 20th 1832 and handled by St. Catherine Laboure'. Her body still lies incorrupt after all these years. They exhumed her body in 1933 and found that her body was as fresh as the day they buried her 57 years before. Her body lies in a glass case. Her eyes remain very blue.

So anyway...

It's been in the family since back then and I wore the rosary under my clothes just to see if there would be a reaction by this woman. And let me tell you, the moment I came near her as she didn't know I had this Sacramental on me, she went absolutely bat sh*t crazy!

I thank God for learning many things from Fr. Martin and it has been my greatest protection. V

Even though I don't think that was a full possesion, it did look like a minor one or one such as oppression.

Even so, the demeanor and assurance Pope Frances held as he placed his hands on the man invoking with power the name of Our Lord as he did so, shows THAT name is the GREATEST NAME!! Plus, the way he walked on afterwards almost as if nothing happened, shows just exactly what that power of Jesus Christ does when confronted with the evil one. With unencumered Faith in that NAME, it's like swatting a fly!!!
