families trapped in their shelters taking to social media asking for help to get out of their shelter.

Lots of time - shelters are say under a garage or the like ... a debris will pile up on it and you cannot open the door to get out.

Teacher that put herself on top of 3 students is in very critical condition. As I stated in an earlier post, the children are ok.

Folks remember them in your prayers and donate what you can to a good charity of your choice. They will need everything.

I give to Salvation Army for these type disasters, but give what you can (blood, goods, food, clothing or money) to your favorite charity.

Oh My God! I just came in and saw this on the news. What can I say. I am praying for everyone in OK. My sister lives in Sparks. Stay safe OK.

Reporter believes they are communicating with a child or children trapped under the rubble at the school. Also, rescuers are reporting hearing cries for help / crying.

From KFOR live stream reporting: KFOR reports 4 casualties pulled from convenience store in Moore. Also report cell phone service is down; people can text.

Family friend managed to get on to facebook saying that the phones were down, some power was on (other places off) and the tornado just "missed" their car, but everyone and their house was fine. Obviously it was just a short message so no other details.

Thanks to everyone for all the updates on these storms. I have several kinfolks in the area..just spoke with
one of my cousins and so far what I've heard they are all okay..one of my cousins has a very large nice home and barn and it was flattened.

Prayers go out to all affected in the area's hit. My niece sister-in-law went to pick up her boys at the Brairwood Elementary and they wouldn't let her leave so they are trapped in the school now and no one's heard from them.

Prayers for them all.

My Dad's two cousins and their families are ok. Daughter of one was at work so she is okay, but think house is destroyed based on what they saw of her neighborhood on TV.

Petunia, I guess the looters are going after drugs. There are always heartless people who take advantage of a situation like this. Makes me sick. Instead of helping, they are stealing and dont care about anybody but themselves.

Plus, has Obimbo stopped playing golf long enough to activate FEMA? Of course they are practically useless, if one looks at their record. But I have heard no mention anywhere of even their name in the last two days. And has Obimbo made even a statement about this catastrophe?

On Fox they interviewed a home owner who has lost everything and she didnt even know where she would spend the night or how to protect what was left of her home from looters. Very sad.

Newsman just reported search and rescue at the school is being discontinued....it is now just a recovery effort. Up to 2 dozen little children. :bwl:
