Not a single comment.

Oh - wait! There's lots of people who think we ought to have an income tax . . . that we just need to fix the government so they'll be "fair"!

The real issue is not that the IRS and/or federal government violates our natural rights as human beings. The real issue is there are so many people (many members on this board) who cheer and applaud as the IRS/federal government does it!

Jeesh, take a chill pill.

Insulting anyone who happens to look at your thread won't make it any more read.

I agree with Ron Paul about income tax. I think most of us do and you come along and insult everybody because we don't read your thread and hyperventilate. Many congress critters criticized the IRS much more effectively and passionately.

Nothing new with what Ron Paul is saying and I think it's past the time for hyperventilating. It's time for more direct action.

And that unfortunately, is about the only job that government excels at.

There's a lot of people who think the IRS and the income tax are necessary evils. But the truth is they're evil and they're not necessary.

The only people I insulted in this thread are those who think we need an income tax. And yes - I intend to insult those people. For they're responsible for this travesty.

I read the article and deleted before I hit the submit button. Folks just aren't going to wake up anyway. The past two elections that alienated RP to the point that the economic health of this country is dead last of concerns. Voting results have verified that.

Said another way - the majority of voters prefer war and poverty to peace and prosperity.

Imagine how tough it is preparing for natural disaster, government disaster, and those pushing the war and poverty through fear. That doesnt leave much wriggle room out there when tshtf

Dream on. We're not going to have either peace or prosperity. War maybe, poverty for sure.
And NO the majority of voters do not prefer war and poverty. They want your's and my money to live in the style to which Obama has accustomed them.
Hell the government only gets a little over half the money to pay them through taxes. The rest they borrow.

A flat tax or a sales tax would be better than the unconstitutional thousands of pages long, tax code we have now, but it won't make any difference in the long run.
The government is spending much more than it takes in and it does what a lot of stupid Americans are doing: Borrowing to make up the difference.

Until we learn to live with less than we take in, nothing will make any difference.
So dream away about eliminating the unconstitutional income tax. We have more serious problems.
That's the trouble with RP and his followers. They nobly tilt at windmills when they need to destroy the robber barons/masters with bazookas and then hang their bodies by their entrails.

"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kinds of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of lawbreakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."

Nobody here was alive at the time the income tax was initiated. So, how is anyone here responsible for the travesty, whether they agree or not? It's been politically impossible to dump the IRS for many decades, long before my first vote was cast.
