Last fall Dad's heart Doctor stuck a few electrodes on his chest and plugged them into a blackberry, the phone would call Chicago where techs were monitoring hundreds of other cardiac patients if there was a problem.

About a week or so later Dad had what his Doctor called an episode to where he got light headed and passed out, the blackberry called Chicago alerting them of Dads situation and they called EMS here just outside of St. Louis.

By the time EMS arrived Dad had recovered enough to answer the knock on the door and told them it was a non event, well with in an hour it happened again and Dad work up in the ER suffering from a mild heart attack...

So yes thank goodness for smart phones and those people who think up the apps!

For all of the crabbing and complaining I did about him over the years now that he has gone I really miss him alot.
