FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A Franklin County school bus from Vina High School overturned on Highway 173 at Overton Farm Road in Hodges.

Emergency workers on the scene said the bus and a truck collided around 3:30 p.m.

According to emergency officials, about 20 children were on the bus at the time of the wreck. Officials confirmed there are several injuries.

Two helicopters were dispatched to the scene. Three fire departments responded along with sheriff's deputies.

At least four patients are being transferred to hospitals by the medical helicopters. One patient is being transferred to Huntsville Hospital, two are being taken to UAB, and one is being flown to a hospital in Mississippi.

In Franklin or towards Maggie Valley? Franklin itself is kinda flat if I remember correctly but back towards Maggie Valley the roads are like spaghetti twisted on a hillside/mountainside.

God bless those kids and the bus driver and the other driver regardless of whose fault it ultimately is.

My bad. I said Franklin County AL and DH (native AL) said, no, TN.

News said 29 students on bus, 2 students airlifted out several students with non-lifethreatening injuries taken by ambulance. I didn't hear what they said about the driver of the truck involved or the bus driver.
