EDUC Latest Walmart ad - AR15's

I thought Walmart was virulently anti-gun. t least anti all guns except hunting ones.

My local Wal-Mart has been had AR's. As a matter of fact I bought a Sig M-400 enhanced from them recently. They also have 440 rd. packs of Greentip-ss109's. I got some of them. But they have yet to carry spare Mags for ar's yet.
Mine is also selling a lot of rails and such. It helps that the guy who runs the sporting goods section is a firm believer in the 2nd Ammend. He and I can discuss anything even CCW, which we both do.

Shooting as a pastime is getting more and more popular every day. **snip** This is especially true with women, who are leading the curve as the fastest-growing segment of the market. But we still get reports of stories like this one, about Prayse Dangler, who was prohibited to buy a shotgun by her local Walmart staff—because a Mossberg 930 was too much gun for a woman.
"Yesterday at Walmart I tried to buy a shotgun to keep at the house with me when Brad is gone. We live in the heart of downtown New Albany where there is a lot of foot traffic, and we believe that me having a reliable way to protect myself and our baby when Brad isn't here is just a responsible thing to do.
"Here's the kicker though. The man behind the counter looked at me in disbelief when I pointed out the beefy Mossberg 930 Tactical weapon that Brad had researched out for me and planned on taking me out shooting to get comfortable with. The man then proceeded to interrogate me about what I wanted it for and how it would be used. He said that I didn't hold it right and that I needed 'something else better suited to you.' He put it back in the case and firmly refused to sell it—all because I am a petite young woman!

I would go with the Sig! Remember Bushmaster got bought out a few years back and the quality ain't what it used to be. As a matter of fact the original owner/guy who started Bushmaster has started another operation after the contract waiting period. I cant remember the name but they are supposed to be jam up and jelly tight!

Naturally Sweet, I wish someone would have told me I couldn't buy the gun the store sold. Even the police tell women the best gun for them to have is a shotgun, mounted over a door. I've taken gun classes and I've been told by many guys, you may not even have to shoot the gun b/c when you rack the shotgun (you do this just b4 you aim it) most sane men will recognize the sound and find an easier mark. In spite of that advice I still want to buy a shotgun for my bedroom but I'm waiting for a defensive shotgun class to start up in my area.
At another class I took this year I learned so much I was comfortable enough to buy my own pistol, because my husband's choice of guns he bought for me were really not for me. At the class I took they had about 15 revolvers & semi-autos & we could shoot whatever one we chose, til we couldn't shoot anymore. Only the Glock 23 (I later bought) fit my hand, and was lightweight enough, & had white marks on the front & back sights. I will mention here also, that the Glock was priced over $550 I think, & with a MILITARY DISCOUNT I got it for about $ 425! It also comes in a case that you can store it in until you get a heavy-duty lockcase that suits you. Glock is the company that gave the gun store the discount & I like the idea I'm paying them back for supporting our military. Ladies, I can't emphasize enough: Look for a class that will teach you the basics & will provide guns for you to try out firing at targets!! Good Luck.

if i were buying today it would be bcm though

you might want to have a round chambered before you go against any bad guys, yes racking a pump gun is distinctive but an empty firearm is a club, would you wait until just before you aim your handgun before you chamber a round? not being snide i just can't stand this notion that gets put out of chambering a round when your in the proximity of the bad guy, if you are picking up a firearm to defend yourself, make it ready straight away

35 years ago two guys were trying to break into my trailer at 2AM. I had a 12 gauge pump in corner beside my door I pumped it and they took off running to their car, I opened the door and pointed it at them as they were getting in the car.
A girl was inside and immediately started crying - please don't Mister.
One of guys changed his mind and started coming back at me I shut the door and waited for him to come through it.
Next thing I know they are driving off.

And the Iranians and Sudanese and a Filipino company make a copies of the Norinco CQ as well. Actually has a rather wide spread of overseas sales, both government and civilian.

plus you have several different German companies kicking our AR's there's even companies in the UK making them, everybody is making them

Marstar in Canada is selling the CQ, it seems to be getting a good reception, one of the local lads here is ex Aussie SAS and he uses Norinco products all the time, says he has no problem with them

I've seen some reviews online of Norinco products and aside from some comments on finish, functionally they've seemed to be mostly positive.
I also had only been awake about 3 minutes - my mind was racing - will I be charged with murder if I shoot him as he is coming towards me? I couldn't decide. So I shut the door backed up and waited.
I didn't lock the door.
But I knew if he came through the door that I could shoot him and would - no doubt.
And at the same time I was freaking out trying to comprehend how somebody would actually run towards a guy with a 12 gauge shotgun aimed at him.
When I heard the car start to drive off I couldn't believe it nor did I trust it. It took me 5 minutes aiming the gun at the door trying to figure out if he's out there can I get the door locked before he could open it?
But they were gone.
Next day I was putting extra locks all over the place.
The really nice thing about having two hundred-pound German shepherds is that NOBODY tries to break into my house. Ever.
