So what if it is? This is my point. If this is deliberate, then so be it. Al least we can have a straight fight, instead of all this sneaking around. This presumes that you agree that this situation will eventually come to organised bloodshed, there is no way around it, so that being the case I would prefer to be the guy to call the ball, instead of waiting to receive whatever they're going to lob next.

Hey I'm game, I'm Irish we love to fight :D

my point was (hope ye got tinfoil) maybe this was set up by tptb to get the reaction that they're getting, just maybe they want the ME in flames, order out of chaos and all that malarchy

Perhaps we can start a "Mo cartoon of the day" contest here?

I am sick and tired of these muzzies and their easy offense taking. Grow the fook up!

Most of them wouldn't be Muslim by choice like most of us Christians are so they are ill equipped to defend their religion by any other means, their only response is hate & violence just like they're book tells them to be, maybe if the Western powers stopped molly coddling them and appeasing every slight and offence of theirs they might cop the feck on

And if that's the case, then so be it. It certainly seems too coincidental to be mere coincidence, to be sure, and I feel secure in the notion that you have the right of it.

Sort of like lancing a boil. Their threats are never ending and there are constant skirmishes. The actions of some Muslim groups have brought on the TSA and a host of other invasions of the private citizenry. Whatever group or groups are behind the taunting of Muslims may feel the same - get it over with. Get them all worked up, let them riot, and then put them down. Yes, blood will be shed, people will die. It's going to happen anyway. These people maim and kill over any perceived insult. Perhaps it's better to get it over with in one fell swoop than to let it go on into infinity. Could be the view is that less blood will be shed and less people will die if they can provoke one huge uprising.

let us be about this task, let us get it done and over with before our wives are required to wear the burka to show tolerance and understanding, before it becomes illegal to report spousal abuse to the police because it might be a muslim man simply disciplining his wife and to call the cops is racist, and before a mosque gets built within sight of Ground Zero.

Oh, make no mistake. They will riot across Europe and the Mid East. And people will die and property will be destroyed.

IMO, this smells rotten. Someone wants this chaos to occur.

I recall a prophecy -can't remember who said it- that the Muslims would one day cause riots in several European countries. Could this be the start of it?

So the world is to be held hostage by Islam, is that it? What ever happened to "we don't negotiate with terrorists?" I no longer respect Islam, I'm tired of their BS, they are animals, 1200 years behind the world. No more tolerance from me, they want war, they can have it.

I don't see much about this on the France tweet grid; no rioting -- yet.

France: Charlie Hebdo Website Hacked over Prophet Mohammed Cartoons

The website of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo is under attack by hackers, after the paper published cartoons caricaturing the Prophet Mohammed.

A spokesperson form the magazine said hackers have been blocking access to the site since 5am and the attack is still ongoing.

A spokesperson for Charlie Hebdo told IBTimes UK that the magazine's staff have received several messages condemning the editorial decision to print cartoons featuring Mohammed. However no-one has claimed responsibility for the cyber-attack yet.

Anti-riot police has been sent to patrol the Paris offices of the magazine.

Provocative

The weekly edition of the satirical magazine features a cartoon of an imam on a wheelchair pushed by a rabbi, accompanied by the words "Untouchables 2: do not laugh!" as well as two cartoons depicting the Prophet naked in provocative positions.

The publication comes following a wave of violent protests in Muslim countries, triggered by the anti-Islamic movie Innocence of Muslims.

According to the Muslim faith, it offensive to depict Muhammad in any manner. However Charlie Hebdo's editor Stephane Charbonnier said the cartoons would "shock those who will want to be shocked," and claimed the right to freedom of expression.

"The freedom of the press, is that a provocation? I'm not asking strict Muslims to read Charlie Hebdo, just like I wouldn't go to a mosque to listen to speeches that go against everything I believe.

"If we start to question whether we have the right to draw Muhammad or not, if that is a dangerous thing to do or not, the next question is going to be: can we depict Muslims in the newspaper? And then: can we represent human beings in the newspaper?"

Reaction

Dalil Boubakeur, the senior cleric at Paris's biggest mosque, condemned the publication but called for the French Muslim community to keep calm and ignore the publication.

"It is with astonishment, sadness and concern that I have learned that this publication is risking increasing the current outrage across the Muslim world. I would appeal to them not to pour oil on the fire," he said.

France's Muslim Council also appealed for calm: "We urge French Muslims not to yield to the taunt."

French Foreign minister Laurent Fabius said he disapproved Charlie Hebdo's editorial decision.

"I am against all kind of provocations, especially in a sensitive time like the present," he said.

Last year Charlie Hebdo's headquarters in Rue Serpollet was fire-bombed after the magazine's decision to rename a special edition, featuring a cartoon of Mohammed, Charia Hebdo and list the Prophet as the editor-in-chief.

The magazine's website was also hacked in last year's attack.

Agreed. They seem incapable of taking 'no' for an answer. This is going to happen, there will be deaths, and it has a good chance of getting out of control. That said, and I am no expert by any means, but if this is the real deal, then we must control the battlefield at the outset. We have been catching long enough. We need to start pitching, now. And not peacekeeping, not 'the winning of hearts & minds', no appeasement strategies, no 'surges'.
The gloves of diplomacy and sanction must be removed. We have no choice.

Vive la Republique. Vive la Liberte.

I applaud France for their forthright stance in the face of the barbaric hordes.

I applaud their will in supporting the freedom of the press and speech.

I fully intend to die a free infidel rather than to ever become a slave to sharia.

I hope you will stand with me.

Bonne chance to my French brothers and sisters.

This is just getting started.

Report: 4 injured after small package bomb explodes inside kosher grocery story in Paris suburb - @AP

Report: 4 injured after explosion at kosher store

France ups embassy security after prophet cartoons

PARIS (AP) -- A small package bomb exploded inside a kosher grocery store in a Paris suburb Wednesday, wounding at least one person, according to an agency that tracks anti-Semitic attacks in France.

The reason for the attack was unclear, but it rattled nerves amid global tensions surrounding a U.S.-produced film insulting to Islam. The French grocery store attack came a few hours after a satirical French weekly published caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, prompting anger from French Muslim groups.

The Jewish Community Protection Service, set up to register anti-Semitic attacks in France, says on its website that two individuals dressed in black threw an explosive device inside a kosher supermarket in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles at lunchtime Wednesday. It says one person suffered small injuries, without elaborating.

Yves Jannier, the state prosecutor in the Val d'Oise region where Sarcelles is located, cautioned that evidence was still being compiled and it was too early to draw any conclusions about motives behind the attack.

"We'll need to analyze, quantify and measure all these elements, such as to know perhaps the type of explosives used," he said at a news conference. "But for now, we should avoid any extrapolation or hasty conclusions."

The Sipa news agency reported four injuries. It said the two assailants fled after throwing a rock through the shop's window shortly before the explosion, and that the victims are being treated for wounds to their arms and legs from the explosion and broken glass.

A French Jewish umbrella organization, CRIF, said in a statement that "it fears this attack" is connected to violent protests in recent days from Asia to Africa against the U.S.-produced film "Innocence of Muslims," which ridicules Prophet Muhammad. CRIF criticized those who are linking Jews to the making of the film and said "nothing can justify the wave of violence that has hit the world since its release."

France, which has western Europe's largest Jewish population, sees sporadic but persistent anti-Semitic acts, often vandalism of gravesites and synagogues. The nation also has the region's largest Muslim population, and mosques and Muslim gravesites are periodically desecrated.

Fears of a new wave of anti-Semitism in France resurfaced after a gunman claiming ties to radical Islam killed three children and a rabbi at a Jewish school in Toulouse in March, the worst such attacks in France since the 1990s.

The magazine has defended the move by invoking the right to free speech. Speaking on French radio, the magazine’s director explained that a decision not to publish would “hand victory to a handful of extremists that are causing a commotion in the world and in France.”

Oh boy, I hope I don't have to start a France tweet grid. I can't speak French.

but he is right, the world has got to stop cate3ring to these backward thugs!
