Oh no! Gabriel is back on the prayer list as of right now. Bless his heart, he's really had a go of it.

I know.

On the way to the ER, he asked if I thought he would be admitted and have to have surgery again. I told him not unless they found something else wrong with him or if things had taken a turn for the worse. He said, "Nana, things always get worse for me." I know he is a little down in the dumps, I can't imagine the pain he is in. He cried and/or whimpered all night Monday night and it got worse Tues. I kept being told it was gas....

No need to apologize for missing the first thread.

I only put this one on main because now they have me scared, and I needed all the prayer warriors I could get. DH gets so mad at me, because "you try to tell the doctors how to do their job and you never went to medical school." Well, if they had listened to me, they never would have sent him home the first time and he wouldn't be in this shape.

Tired, cranky, scared Nana.

Sometimes it takes a tired, cranky, and scared Nana to get things done right... Stick to your guns because our gut instinct serves us well and we have it for a reason...

Prayers said for him, and don't worry about watching out for him when you think something more is going on. When my son was little he came home limping from school one day, and I ask him if something at school happened, and he said no just playing. Well, went to church that night, and ask the pastor to look at his foot, because he seen him limping too. Pastor said oh he is ok. Son's dad said, also, oh he is ok. Well, I didn't feel he was, because it wasn't like him to be limping for no reason. Next day, he couldn't stand on it, and I felt the side of his foot, and could feel a swollen lump, and told him he wasn't going to school, but to the doctor. His dad still saying the was silly. They xrayed his foot, and turns out a bone in the side of his foot was broke. They said sometimes an awkward turn can do that. Well, he went home with a cast on his leg, and I didn't talk to anyone else for awhile. (mothers and grandmothers know) hehe...

Praying for complete healing for your grandson. Doctors can be so incompetent. I trust none of them.

Prayers for healing for your grandson. Prayers for the doctors (and others) to LISTEN and to HEAR and to use the wisdom God gave them!

Will be praying for Gabriel for sure. Given how sick he was to start with I was really surprised they didn't send him home with a pic line (intravenous antibiotics).

Praying that the worse is over and that our Lord will restore his health....we must always be an advocate for our children/grandchildren. May God bless you also for your loving concern for your grandson.

Tired, cranky, scared Nana.

Don't apologize for that - it's in the job description! :D

Hope he gets better soon, and feels better sooner. My SIL was recently in the hospital for major surgery, and the family set up a CaringBridge site for her - http://www.caringbridge.org/. It made it quick and easy to keep far-flung family and friends up to date on developments and made it easy to send get well messages to the patient as well.

Look it over and see if you think it worthwhile....
