It's really, really, really quiet now. No guns firing, no copters, no flares in the night sky, no boom sounds, nothing happening tonight.
Most of the activity happens inland along the Santa Margarita river valley. Lately they were firing so much artillery that they were starting a lot of little fires in the mountains. Kept their fire fighting crews busy this past week.
Edit: Talking to a neighbor when asked what's going on with all the convoys the answer was just " the palms".
In Marines jargon that means Twentynine Palms. If this is true someone should see them along the I-15 and I-10 corridors but could be just training up there.
