Already read several comments trotting out the familiar "ban all guns so this can never happen again" drivel.
So very convenient that the 'gunman' was apparently pretty well disguised, and yet apparently didn't try to execute an escape plan - if they even had one?
Then there's the issue of how many were involved in this attack?

if the gunman was a white dude, the name would have been released an hour ago...i will be VERY surprised if it was a white guy...gut feeling?, its "Ali Ibn Binshit".......which makes me insane with fury. which might be the whole point.
this is just speculation, Syria's in the gunsights right?.....if "Ali" just shot civvies in CONUS, maybe when we take down Syria, we all will say...YEAH, kill 'em all.....just a thought.

Within hours of the tragic shooting in Aurora, Colorado at a screening of the new Batman movie, the political machine is already gearing up to exploit the incident as a tool to demonize the second amendment and characterize Americans who are against big government as extremists.
A 6ft tall man dressed in black body armor and wearing a gas mask burst through an emergency exit door at the theater during a midnight screening of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Batman movie, before making his way up the stairs and shooting people at random, according to reports.
The man also apparently set off a smoke or tear gas bomb, killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens more.
The gunman was arrested and early reports suggested an accomplice was still on the run, but police now say there was only one shooter.
“A 24-year-old suspect in is custody and an apartment building in north Aurora connected to the suspect was being evacuated and searched for possible explosives, “ reports the Denver Post.
A possible motive for the shooting – bizarre as it sounds – is that, “the gunman carried out the shooting because the new Batman movie was sold out,” according to local reports.
Observers following news reports about the incident have already noticed that the tragedy is being exploited to demonize Americans suspicious of federal authority – noting that the villain in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is an anti-establishment character.
“They’re claiming that since the villain in the movie was “rising up” against authorities that’s what this guy may have been doing,” writes Brandon Nolley.
Others fear that the shooter will be labeled a “conspiracy theorist” and used to portray so-called “truthers” as violent extremists.
“I have a feeling he’s going to be a “extremist” with “Conspiracy theorist” views, may be he even saw Alex’s review of the movie,” writes Evan Munn. “They are going to parade out the children’s bodies like OKC.”
Others note that the mass shooting coincides with a UN arms treaty that threatens to grease the skids for a total gun ban in the United States. It’s inevitable that the event will be used to demonize the second amendment.
“The UN treaty will save us,” comments Michael Rozycki.

The answer to attacks like these is more guns in more people's hands not fewer guns in fewer hands.
And making uncle bigger won't help either because no matter how big he gets he can't be everywhere at once and will never really take responsibility for citizens safety (legal precedent, litigation and all that).
What if there had been two dozen armed citizens in the seats? How long and far would the rampage go if the intended victims turned tables on the sickos?
Armor or not a couple dozen citizen's defending themselves would've put a stop to it a lot faster than gun control laws ever would.

I've been watching since this first broke. First it was an Indian, then white. NBC just reported that he was born legally in the US, so who knows what the hell he is. But FBI made sure they got it out fast that this wasn't a terrorist attack.
I wonder how many thought this was a hell of a 3D movie before they figured out some one was really shooting at them?

I know this Theatre, this hits VERY close to home.
Couple of questions come to mind...
EXIT doors in theatres are designed to keep outsiders OUT. If he came in through an EXIT door, it was because someone let him in. That theatre recently had some renovations done to it, and I know doors and lighting were brought up to code, so he didn't "kick" the door in. They are solid.
Second, not ONE concealed-carry permit holder in the crowd?
Oh, and third question, where/what about the second shooter? no one is talking about him/her anymore...

I worked my way through college in movie theatres; this type of attack always scared the sh-t out of me since back in the 90's. Short of scanners at the door way, there is nothing stopping someone from carrying in a short-barreled weapon and a butt-load of spare magazines and start shooting. And with the prevalence of backpacks, and your minimum-wage usher not giving a sh-t to check it, bombs were always on my peripheral.
My family always thought I was off-center when we went to the odd theatre-night with my 1911 on my hip. this is why i carry...

This scenario is one of many lately that point out the need to carry a weapon. One person in that theater who was carrying could have possibly saved some lives.
This event will be paraded around the news media and the liberals will jump at the chance to push their anti-gun agenda.

I too, am pondering this episode of "madness" and adding it to all the other "massacare/murder events over the past several week.
I mean, ZOMBIES eating live victums! Shootings, flash mobs!WHAT IF; what if these series of events, all causing deaths and no known rational reason why the perps did what they did.
What IF we are experiencing "Fals Flag" events? Designed fo lead up to a declaration of Martial Law!!!!

This really shouldn't take us by surprise and it's going to get much worse. Well all know this, right? I have totally avoided large groups of people for several years now. I don't go to movies, don't go to crowded malls, ect. When I do my grocery shopping it's early in the morning with almost nobody in the stores, ect. If you have not practiced situational awareness you need to start doing so posthaste. Whether or not this was an organized attack by an Islamist or just a joe six pack going off his meds is almost immaterial. I forget who it was here that started this saying but it's so very true. When people have nothing left to lose, they lose it!! What do we think is going to happen when the real crush comes and the full on economic collapse happens? You want to be where everyone else isn't and you certainly don't want to be where groups of people congregate. I'm not minimizing or downplaying the carnage and loss of life. Families have been shattered and lives snuffed out senselessly. But, this is only the beginning. Game on in this nation from here on out. You be smart and don't be a victim.

Just heard that immediately before the shooting, the man that did the shooting took a cell phone call and left the theater by that same emergency door, coming back in a few minutes later locked and loaded. This stinks of Obama and crew staging this False Flag op to A) foment a crisis that only his "leadership" can get us through, and B) coincide with the July 27th signing of the UN arms treaty, thus paving the way for national gun confiscation.
Per Warty's post, it is MHO that this incident WILL be used to demonize anyone who feels that the Illegal Alien in Chief has taken the country via subversion, and who might take a stand. Oh, and Aurora, being part of Denver, is a Free Kill Zone (no guns allowed by law IIRC) populated by limp-wristed metrosexuals. No real danger of the perp's fire being returned. That's how these killers like their victims, helpless and screaming. And that's how the government likes its citizens too, we all need to watch our backs now, as the election cycle continues.

From one of the news reports. The man, who did not give his name, said he heard gunfire continue for at least 20 minutes.
I thought there were police around the theatres because of the large crowd ? They let an active shooter shoot for twenty mins ?

GMA reported this man came from San Diego last year with parents, Mom is from USA and Dad is TURKISH.
just listened to very amped up witness, a short haired girl, that was 5 feet away from the shooter, i'm going to quote her, (paraphrasing) 'he didnt say a word, he looked like a swat team guy, gas mask, armor, muscular, 6 feet to 6 feet three, 185 pounds took out a green grenade, threw it, shot the gun up once in the air, and then started shooting people with a really big gun", he didnt say a word"........

They are saying on the news that he had a gun stashed in the theater and entered by the back door (which is typically locked from the outside to prevent that). He may have come to the theater earlier and fixed the door and stashed the gun or might there have been an accomplice. So... this is definitely premeditated. Not a nutjob but thought-out and deliberate. They are also saying he came prepared for "war" and tried to get away. This has the false flag flavor. I fear for our 2nd amendment rights.
