A cloud formation called a mammatus appeared in the skies above Regina and area following a thunderstorm Tuesday night.

People in Saskatchewan had to endure some severe weather the last two days, with tornadoes spotted near Moose Jaw, power outages across the province and a family's camper flipped over with six people inside near Regina.

When the storm died down, though, the province was treated to a rare atmospheric phenomenon: mammatus clouds.

The shape of the clouds in this formation are variously describes as cotton balls, puffs, bubbles and, as the name suggests, breasts.

The Bees Know
We see them a lot here in Missouri. I like to call them Hail Clouds because they usually have hail and severe thunderstorms accompanying them.

That looks like what we saw here about a week ago when the East got hit. We were just below the bad part of the storms.

No matter how many of these images i see, i cant believe that these are natural cloud formations. Had they been natural, they would have been historically been painted and hanging in museums of antiquity for hundreds of years....... They have never been seen until the last dozen years, to my knowledge, and are now becoming more and more frequent.
IS there anywhere any information from independent testing on what these clouds are made of? have chemical or biological tests ever been performed and published ? Did Skatchewan have any unusual rain fall with possibly a spike in respiratory injury or illness or molds or fungus after this storm.

Doesn't look natural to me either (in any way, shape or form - perhaps "Extreme Novelty" is at play here??)
