DH and I always talk about the folks here. I'm always relaying prayer requests to him. :)

I guess Reborn could be male or female but in this case it's the meaning of my name: Renee. ;)

I joined TB2K in late 97 or early 98 under the name dragger2k...
I met my yet to be wife in 99...we were married 9/22/2001...
I've always spoken about Timebomb around her but she used to just kinda scoff at it...
Nowadays when anything interesting is going on she says, "what's the Timebomb gang saying about it???"
Hah!!!

I think posters are male unless something indicates otherwise.

When I'm very involved in a thread then I often have dh read it.

When I see a funny or shocking headline, I read it out loud to share with dh and ds,

for example; "Government study says Mermaids do not exist" as I was laughing about it. Dh replied about the government wasting money.

And I showed all the cute animal pics to ds, and he thought they were so funny!

Actually we do talk about timebomb at the table. With grandkids living with us we talk about EVERYthing. Good time for them to share what they learned that day and what kids had to say at school. Good time to talk politics and share what has been read during the day. My spouse will read threads I point out and so does DD. Every opinion is ok but we just ask that the opinion can be backed up with facts. Not like the kids on the school bus 3 yrs ago who asked one DGD if she liked Obama or if she was racist. We definately discussed that one!

Hubby asks me every day "what's on Timebomb today? I'm constantly mentioning something I've seen on Timebomb to family and friends. In fact, one of the girls at the office finally asked me what on earth Timebomb is, lol.

As far as assuming posters are men or women, unless its something that makes me think of a woman, I tend to think its a man. In fact, straightstreet had me confused because the name sounds more like a man to me, but the avatar is definitely feminine. I have been very surprised a few times in finding out that someone I had always pictured as a man was actually a woman or vice versa.

No, because I want to stay married.

So true!! :) My DH is starting to 'get it', but he is not a fan of internet relationships, so to speak. My kids and I talk about this 'stuff' all the time, tho. They get it.

When I'm at work, I call you "my people"! "My people" say this; "my people" say that.... Sometime they'll ask, "what do your people say about...?" It's great!!

BTW, I don't think any guy would willingly use PrairieMoon, so yes, I'm a gal!!

And since everyone is explaining their "names," for me "Joe" is Owner who I refer to, who is male (although Josephine is possible I suppose.) He left the board perhaps in 2008 (you'll see a gap in postings) and I kind of picked up later when I learned how to use the computer. I kind of er, gained access to his account. (DON'T let the computer remember your passwords.) Locally I'm Dobbin which is what Owner named me.

I answer to either since everyone is sort of used to "Joe."

My spouse routinely asks what "the tin foil hats" are on about today. I talk to friends about what I hear online and they refer to you all as my imaginary friends.

Female?

The anchor looks male, but the word above it "love" ... indicates female.

:eleph: DING! DING! DING! You get the award!

(And I always thought of the anchor as a cross that holds things together.)

Okay, Chair warmer... who is warming up the chair? My guess is male?

What is Bumbplepuff???

That's what I really want to know!

(I'm thinking male, and if I'm wrong I bet I'm going to be in BIG trouble...)

Female here.

:D Oops! Sorry about that, Chairwarmer! Most of the men in my life are really good at warming chairs! But we are, too, I guess!

I keep thinking eventually I'll get to be a chair warmer. I own a 'Lazyboy' though I never get to sit in it. ;)

When I relate 'tin foil' news to DD she responds with 'don't tell me, Timebomb again?'.
lol
Sounds like what my Son will say.

That being said,He now realizes that many, many issues I have presented to him are factual.

My DD's however have shown some interest in TBK, but for now they are just doing their thing. They (All 4 Children) are more interested in what I am doing like 'I' am the child..lol
Peace and Blessing's,

Just for reference I am a guy, my last name appears towards the end of the alphabet, so I picked something closer to the very beginning such as "AA" double A.

I was hoping it wasn't your bra size. ;) Sorry DA!

I discuss TB with my sons now and then and even a few friends. I've sent a few here to read the news that isn't news. ;) I agree that sometimes I think someones one sex and find out I was wrong. Names can throw us.

My 19 year old son lurks here, we talk about it all the time. Everyone else calls it "your end of the world website"

Mary knows whether I am a boy squirrel or a girl squirrel :)

It's taken years but DW is now a great GI! In the past we never talked NEWS at all.

Sure has changed for the better.

No. Timebomb is just "one of my boards" in conversations with my friends & children. I don't discuss any of it (world news/prepping) with other family members as most are DWGI and many of them are still hoping for their change ...

As far as the male/female thing - unless it's blatantly obvious, like Vicki, Kathy, Dennis, Joe, etc - I usually assume a gender neutral position until otherwise exposed.

Although, Diamonds had me confused briefly, I have always believed Flippper was female, and I third the notion that BumblePuff leans heavily toward the testosterone laden side of human brain processes. However, the latter means nothing really since I have a sister who could match Bumble snark for snipe in a caption showdown and can be counted on for many a delightful snicker or three that frequently zoom right over the heads of her targets at family gatherings!

Come on BumblePuff, Helen is always prepared to drop her drawers in an emergency, give us a quick flash - femme fatale or stud muffin? ...

not the first time I've been asked that. Funny my first wife was a B, my last wife was a Double E and a young women that has me smitten is a Double_A size. It's all good, it's all in the mind.

Although new to the board membership wise, I/We have been lurking for almost 2 years.
I, Gen, read the posts and tell Erik about ones that would interest him/us.
My other family members are all dgi's and are so far away in miles that it's not discussed with them.

My hubby never posts...he makes me the bad guy. Oi Vey. But, yes, we talk about TB every day. The only part I don't like is members chewing up other members. Generally, we should be able to speak our minds calmly and without rancour. I like to stay informed tho' so we keep on.

WarriorQueen was the name given to me by one of my former high school students many years ago. I was always in heated discussion with my social studies department who wanted me to teach from their chosen textbooks (revisionist) and I always taught from my notes, making my own handouts that served as our "textbook". It just seemed an appropriate name to use here since I'm sort of opinionated. ;)

I suppose no one has ever had a hard time guessing which side of the gender aisle I was on... My sister told me, when she learned my screen name, they're going to think you have big jugs.

However, I used it because I am from Wisconsin and used to live at my family's farm in summer...a DAIRY farm.
