TAMPA, June 12 2012 - The rollercoaster ride for Ron Paul's supporters continues amidst more delegate wins and Senator Rand Paul's controversial endorsement of Romney.
Liberty Unleashed, the nonprofit group incorporated in Florida by Paul supporters specifically to organize Paul Festival, announced today that it had signed a contract with the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa to hold the event there August 24-26. The RNC starts August 27.
[FONT=&quot]Liberty Unleashed and the Fairgrounds needed approval from the RNC Committee on Arrangements (COA) in order to proceed with the event. Both major parties typically lock up hundreds of venues in the host city during the week surrounding their national conventions. Liberty Unleashed had claimed that the COA was blocking the event to alienate Paul's supporters.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]We all need to remember that this is a chess match where the Good Guys are thinking 5-6 moves ahead. The RNC was PISSED OFF at the success of the Ron Paul Election Strategy. They have been and would have continued to block Ron Paul's supporters...until now. Now they WANT to bring the Paulites under their wing. They want the support of the Tea Party. They are asking for a GIANT BIG HUG and they will get it.[/FONT]

They did not "just" sign the contract. The advertisement for the Festival has been up on the Fairgrounds website for quite some time as in for several weeks at the very least.

I disagree with Bix. The silence of Ron Paul on the betrayal of Rand speaks volumes.

Kathy I tried to speak to this on another thread somewhere else when they said the RNC had been denying Paul and his people access to venues just to be dog in the mangerish.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pauls were leaned on reallly hard.

Like Vinny & Guido mafia kind of persuasion.

Except they weren't. That event has been on the fairgrounds calendar and advertised on their page well before that other thread even started. I know, I was gonna go before all of this conspiracy carp started. It has made me distrust some of the Paulians in this area that they would outright say "just" when it wasn't "just" ... that the event had been advertised on the fairgrounds own website for quite some time. You have to book fairground event space months in advance because there is always things going on using the facilities there including concerts, gun shows, craft fairs, rodeos and other equistrian activities, etc. etc. etc. The fairgrounds stay busier than the convention center does.

If Dr. Paul begins to circumvent states' rights and laws to get elected after so many years being adamantly for them he will have completely and totally lost all respect I and many others have for him. If he does this then it will prove that he is nothing but a corrupt politician just like the rest of them.

This and the fact there is now a large team of lawyers that are very supportive of Ron Paul's ideals that has in the works a major civil suit based on federal voting rights so it therefore raises a federal question. I'm now informed that federal judge Carter will be over seeing the case whose a Marine and seems to takes things by the book.

RP will be handing over his delegate votes, for Iowa, to Romeny Sheep as per the Iowa Press via PBS... which makes him just another human being or in RP's case just another politician!
