MOBILE, Alabama --
Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.

Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.

Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."

Police will only say "multiple people" are involved.

What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon." Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.

Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 251-208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 251-208-7000, or text a tip to 274637 and include the keyword CRIME 411.

Wonder if Trayvon's parents will come out and denounce the violence in their son's name. If they don't then they've lost every shred of credibility they ever had.

If a group of people were attacking a family member of mine on my porch, I would shoot everyone on the porch.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about these wild animals grouping together in this pack mentality. It's one thing if it's one or two people involved, but when it becomes a group like this, it's a war.

I mentioned it only because this person didn't even have a gun or a ride to DC.

Yes, we are supposed to have free speech, but do we really? I'm not saying don't say whatever you want to, I just wonder what THEY will consider something to come see you about, Dennis. Everything's crazy now.

You right Dennis this shit has gone on way to long even in my ao more and more of them are moving in. At first I did not notice what was going on around here till the other day at work when this guy did not get a job and started screaming at the manager it was because he was black.:shk: and Sunday I was down town and a group of young blacks drove by and flipped me off and yelled fu white boy...their going to get the fight that they are looking for.

It's gonna be a looooong hot summer me thinks. We've said it before on TB, but this time I think it really will be. Things are really ripe to blow. I'm thankful I don't live in a city; feel for those of you that do.

I want to see Holder and the JustUs dept. investigate this as exactly what it is... a HATE crime.

I want Obama to be on television calling this what it is... a HATE crime... and asking for anyone who has information about who is responsible to come forward.

I know, none of that will happen.

So, I want to see the next best thing.

If I saw this wave of militant terrorists coming toward me I would use all means at my disposal to put down the threat – without prejudice.

If they think the case is going that way they need to have the local chamber of commerce in there for the verdict with the idea they notify all the store owners they can protect what store front and its contents.

FWIW, some of my FAMILY is black.

Living in the big city, if you don't learn quickly that predators come in all different shades and colors, you aren't going to really have good situational awareness.

Further, friends can also come in every shade and color.

Delmar Attack Over Possible Racial Slurs

(MOBILE, Ala.) - A man is in critical condition after being attacked by several people.

A witness who wants to remain anonymous describes what he says he heard at his front door Saturday night, on Delmar Drive. "I just kept hearing him screaming, 'Man, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, man don't do this,' " he recalls.

On the other side of that door was Matthew Owen, who, police and neighbors say, was being beaten by a group of people. The weapons? Bricks, bats, even a paint can.

At first, when he heard his friend at the door, the man thought it was a joke. "Then I saw about 10 to 15 people from little kids and women with dresses to adult men, just flooding onto the property, surrounding the car, hollering and screaming," he says. "And then I heard Matthew saying, ' I'm sorry, man, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.' And then, the next thing, before I could get to the door, because we have it all deadbolted and everything, and before I could get it open, I heard all the beating and banging."

Even family and friends of Matthew Owens admit there was some tension on this street before Saturday night's event. And they say a lot of this has to do with basketball. Relatives of the victim, who live on the street, say local kids often block Delmar Drive when they play basketball. They say it's lead to some confrontations. Racial comments from both sides may have made the confrontations more toxic.

It all bubbled over Saturday night, putting Owens in critical condition with severe head wounds.

Now police are looking for those involved in the beating.

Meanwhile, the incident has left some who live on this street troubled and nervous including Owens' friend. "Oh, my God" he says. "He was laying on the ground full of blood. I mean, it was horrible. His head, everything. Blood was pouring from his head, both sides. And his whole body was drenched in blood."

Mobile Police are encouraging anyone who knows the identity of the attackers to contact Crimestoppers.

With all the hellicopter activity I have seen posted and what I have seen just a few acres from my porch I was thinking what it was all about. I have no doubt "they" are gearing up for racial unrest, and believe me from those I have talked with racial unrest is what the hell they will get. If you figure how many hunting licenses were sold in the US this year it would be conservitively about 3,000,000 if each of those had one rifle and one firearm thats a lot of fire power to bring to this particular event I would think. This makes sense why these helicopters have been doing drop off and landing maneuvers for weeks now. Somethings definately coming down the pike and it ain't gonna end well unless "O" himself gets a handful of balls and stands up and puts an end to the racial indifference he created when the Panthers showed up at the voting polls acting as a bunce of thugs without as much as a mention from the house in DC.

No doubt about it , its coming and biblicaly speaking
