Angry over steps being taken due to a financial emergency in Detroit, New Black Panther Party leader Malik Shabazz declared he would burn the city down.

"This is white on black crime," he said during public comment at the two hour meeting held Monday afternoon.

"This is white supremacy. Before you can take over our city, we will burn it down," he added.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Shabazz was one of about 100 angry and defiant Detroiters who attended the meeting.
The Detroit Free Press reported:
Detroit's financial review team this afternoon declared that the city is under a financial emergency and no consent agreement between the city and state has been adopted, a move that forces Gov. Rick Snyder to appoint an emergency manager within the next 10 days under state law.
State officials, however, are hopeful that an agreement can be reached before an emergency manager is named.

"In that 10-day window, if a consent agreement can be adopted, that's an alternative for the governor and that's what he prefers to see," said state Treasurer Andy Dillon.
Dillon said the Mayor, the City Council and the Governor would have to sign off on the agreement within the next ten days.

But some locals see the move as a "hostile takeover of a predominately black city," the Free Press added.

Local public sector unions that represent city employees are unhappy with the move as well.

The Free Press noted:
"I negotiated with 30 unions to get that agreement," said Ed McNeil, special assistant to President Al Garrett, AFSCME Council 25, who co-chaired the coalition of unions' negotiating team. "It's a shame. We are fighting for and sacrificing for this city to bring Detroit back together."

A post at Twitchy.com highlights some of the messages sparked by Shabazz's threat:

"For Detroit that probably qualifies as Urban Renewal," wrote one person.

"What? Theres nothing left to burn," wrote another.

"As an outsider half the city already is #NeedHelp," commented "NaturalEmerald."

According to the Free Press, security struggled to maintain order throughout the meeting as attendees chanted, "No takeover!"

Last December, talk show host Rush Limbaugh offered his advice for fixing Detroit: "Get rid of every liberal in government."

Its ok...this guy and his thugs can pretty much say what they want and even put out bounties on people and never face charges for incitement.

I guess the rest of the country will wake the hell up when these savages carry through with their threats. Even if its too late.
I just hope those who support him are the FIRST to go down.

Its just amazing to me how these thugs can issue threats, and yet nothing happens to them. Kidnapping? No problem. Inciting riots and arson? Not an issue.

Then again, thinking about it, let them burn it down, it will make it easier to bulldoze and rebuild.. lol

From what I know of the situation in Detroit it would be doing the city a favor. All the vacant houses have become either crack houses or meth labs. Burn em down and build some parks and rec centers.

The funniest part about all this is he’s willing to piss in his own pond. Why burn YOUR town down.
Burn down someone else’s. These guys just don’t think ahead. “I’ll show you!!! I’ll burn my house down!!! Are ya scared whitey???”

Let them burn it down. Not much there worth saving anyway. How do these thugs get away with intimidating voters, putting bounties on the heads of citizens and threatening to burn down cities get away with it? If I put a bounty on Maxine Water's head they'd be all over me like white on rice. Shouldn't the DOJ ... oh ... never mind.

Let me see, white on black crime, the Leaders for almost 40 yrs have been Black. They have chased out everyone but the poorest people along with so many industries. And its the whites fault. Go figure

Don't get me wrong, I really wasn't trying to be ugly. It's just that for so long Detroit has been described as a war zone, and the pictures from there show so much damage and destruction already.

I've never been there. Will likely never go there, either. So all I have is pictures and stories from the city itself.

I hope it doesn't happen though. If it's like other cities I've been in, not everyone there would agree with this guy. So many are simply so crushed by the weight of trying to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, I doubt they have the time or energy to be like him.

And that can be said for a great deal of the country right now, no matter where you are. People all over are hurting in ways not seen since the great depression. My fear is that it will get much worse before it gets better.

I do hope I'm wrong, though. And pray that I am as well.

The sad thing is-every one of these people could be not only a voice but a gear for the betterment of the blacks but they want to do the same old story and blame everyone else.

I do not give Sharpton or Jackson any credit for any sensibility but from what I've seen of the BP leader he is well-spoken and intelligent and seems to have some common sense until crap like this comes out.

Imagina the effect if he and the BP went into places like Detroit and start rebuilding and helping-even just rebuilding and helping the other blacks get going to stand on their own

But they are not better than the clan-hate everything unlike themselves with no understand or really give a crap.

What people-blacks, white and every other color should do is figure out where these vermin hide, wait until they are all in one place then seal the building and burn it down.

Sit outside and hose the burning place with bullets so there are no survivors.

It WILL breing everyone closer together and it WILL eliminate this kind of sensless rhetoric.

And yes, violence solves things. It solved Hitler.

Actually, the 2nd Robocop movie *did* have a politically correct Robocop! When he was "repaired", his "3 laws of robotics" were supplemented with hundreds of mundane laws to confuse him, and make him useless.

Somehow, I think the creators of Robocop 1 & 2 "got it" (as opposed to the DGI crowd we describe in this forum).

As a Michigander, I welcome his offer.

If Michigan could get rid of the horrible burden of Detroit and Flint, we might be able to relinquish the title of "The Armpit of the U.S.A." to another state.

The amount of money the state pours into those two cities alone would make your head spin.

..convince your folks to start reading..........stay in school...........and learn to beat the Whites at their own game by building your own developed society.

You have a 140 to 150 year head start as free people in this country on most of the Asian and Indian immigrants that are here now........

But look what they have done already......

Learned a new language and culture along with.........

....dominanting most of the engineeering programs in top universities across the country now.....

So what is your excuse Black Panthers?
