EDUC NEW UBER DOOMER E BOOK! DOOMER DOUG STRIKES AGAIN

Doomer Doug

Yes amigos, Doomer Doug has just uploaded an uber doomer ebook called "DAY OF THE DOGS" telling of what will happen to the USA and the world if a Solar Flare, CME, hits and burns out the electric grid. Using his diseased and mentally unstable mind as only Doomer Doug can, chaos and anarchy are unleashed, etc. etc. etc.

It may take a day or so for amazon to get it converted, online and available for purchase so consider this a loss leader.

go to www.amazon.com and do a search under my name Doug McIntosh where all three books are listed.
Ezekiel's Islamic Confederacy is still available, as is my military science fiction book, Strike Destroyer.
Day of the Dogs should be available within the next 48 to 72 hours.

In addition to all that, I am reformating all 84, yes 84, essays I wrote over at goldeagle from 1998 to 2007 and plan to make them available at kindle for 99 cents. Since I have a whole #$%^^^ of essays, including many at he who must not be named websites, another volume is possible.

Then there are maybe sequels for all three books, plus my private detective book/series set in Portland. Heck, if Doomer Doug doesn't end up living under a bridge he may have quite a resume of e books at kindle.

So, another uber doomer book online more or less.

Vesper Sparrow Doomer Doug wants those drugs you are taking. he he he

Big, fluffy flowers as we tiptoe thru the Tulips like Tiny Tim did back in 1968, while singing KUMBAJAH is exactly what will happen after the grid goes down folks. The multicultural paradise called the USA will just be fine, no big deal. Just cuz city dwellers are already rioting over NIKE sneakers, and when the local basketball, or hockey in Canada team wins doesn't mean that when TSHTF they will loot, pillage etc etc etc.

NOOOOOO, this crazy guy Doomer Doug who actually lives in downtown Portland and has watched the urban mob in action for nearly 2 decades now thinks they will BURN THE COUNTRY DOWN as soon as they think they can get away with it!

Yep, the title Day of the Dog refers to the packs of feral dogs which even now are starting to attack people. Attack of the feral dogs just didn't have the ummmmpphh of Day of the Dogs IMHO.
Of course, all the can't we all get along crowd are going to find out the hard way why loonies like us have personal weapons if a Solar Flare ever hits the USA.

By the way, the original idea for the book came from the 1859 CME which caused telegraph lines to start arcing. Then there was the 1989 CME which collapsed the electric grid in eastern canada for several weeks/months in WINTER.

Doomer Doug certainly took poetic license and threw in the version of everything but the doomer sink in this book, but EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN IT IS POSSIBLE/CREDIBLE/LIKELY ETC.

Really what I did was just take some current trends and follow them to their logical conclusions. Scary enough!

Don't forget the Skittles the unicorns will poop!

edited to add: Well, dang, it's for Kindle ONLY. I could have sworn I read elsewhere on Amazon that you could download these things to a hard drive and read it there (maybe using a virtual Kindle), but apparently not in this case. Doomer Doug, let us know if you ever get it in other versions (like .pdf)!

Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Day of the Dogs speculates on what would happen to our advanced society if a Solar Flare burnt out our electric grid and reduced us to an 1850's level of technology. The book explores how people and governments would react in the final week before the CME (Coronal Mass Eruption) impacts earth.

The book describes the final week of modern society from the viewpoint of the leading character living in Portland, Oregon. The book also takes you to FEMA and Homeland Security meetings where overwhelmed officials try and respond to the incoming CME; JPL, Jet Propulsion Labratory, as NASA tries to give intelligent advice about what to do to government offficals.

Day of the Dogs asks the question of whether the various religious, cultural, ethnic, racial and class fault lines in the USA today will lead to a breakdown in law and order, followed by a break up into regional republics. Will Hispanics who are already agitating for a return of the American southwest based on Spanish claims going back to1600, declare independence? Will thousands of gang members pick up their AK-47's and unleash a wave of urban chaos authorities can't control? Will the Islamic terror sleeper cells many say are aleady in the USA take advantage of the incoming Solar Flare and strike a blow at the Great Satan? Will US Marines have to be deployed into our major cities in a frantic effort to maintain order? Day of the Dogs asks and then answers these questions in a fast paced, exciting and very insightful look at what could happen if the American people realized they only had a week of civilization left.

Day of the Dogs is a "doomer novel" which not only actually tells the reader what to do to prepare for a Solar Flare, but takes you behind the scenes as individuals and groups try to deal with a civilization ending natural disaster. This natural disaster unleashes the cultural, racial, ethnic, religious and class fault lines, not just in the USA, but all over the world.

What would you do if you really knew society would collapse in 5 days? How would people around you react; how would India or Pakistan react if they knew their nuclear weapons would be usless in 5 days? Day of the Dogs not asks these types of questions: it answers them.

Day of the Dogs is the uber doomer novel written by the man who has had the Internet handle of Doomer Doug for nearly 15 years now. Nobody does doom like Doomer Doug and Day of the Dogs shows why! The glass isn't half full; it isn't half empty: it is full of gasoline vapors and about to explode!

Day of the Dogs asks the hard question: if the people of the USA knew the USA wouldn't exist in five days what would they do about it? Day of the Dogs explores possible results based on current trends in the United States today. How would the rest of the world react to the imminent collapse of the only superpower left? Would they take the opportunity to settle scores before their own militaries were destroyed by the Solar Flare? Find out in Day of the Dogs!

well thank you. a direct link to the book and that is the description I wrote about it. a pretty good doomer read if doomer doug says so himself. he he he

the ebook is under review until sometime wednesday since it hasn't been priced for the global market yet. I did hear some report about copyright issues from nebb but amazon kindle hasn't said anything to me about it. anyway it should be back up and available for purchase in the next 12 to 48 hours. The other two books remain available.

Thanks, Doomer Doug! I was able to download the Kindle for PC (free from Amazon), buy the "Day of the Dogs" at Amazon, and the eBook did open on my hard drive. Now to find out how it works when I go offline.

I don't want to start reading it right away since I'm in the middle of reading "Slatewiper" (Lewis Perdue, 2003), some Michael Crichton-like fiction about bioengineered racially-specific plagues (wow, so far the author apparently really, REALLY dislikes the Japanese). But I'm looking forward to reading about Portland at the end of civilization!

thanks for the kind words. I am going to be on John Galt's radio show tonight at 5 pm Pacific standard time if anybody is intererested.

I had 3 goals in writing Day of the Dogs.
1. I wanted it to be a "good read."
2. I wanted it to be educational for DGI's and Sheeple and tell them exactly what they needed to do and buy and store in order to be prepared for any potential disaster.
3. I wanted to explore doomer philosophy, some political view points I have and finally I wanted to deal with how and why people respond to natural disasters.

and finally, I wanted to go to the end of the road on some current trends underway in the USA right now. Although some may feel I threw in everything but the doomer kitchen sink in terms of the kinds of ongoing, sequential crisis' listed, I don't think so. Every single disaster listed in the book is credible in my view and honestly not much of a stretch given current trends.

anyway, feel free to post you opinions on the book, good or bad and I think timebomb could be a great forum to discuss the book and any "message" it has. LOL

by the way, one of my target audiences was the sheeple and don't get it crowd. Hopefully, the "good story" will be like the fruit juice you mix the castor oil with<G> One of the problems with many mainstream doomer books is they give very little actual prep information. Like the other CME book a while back which told a great story and gave virtually NO information about how to prepare, what to buy and how much to buy. The first part of Day of the Dogs is specifically designed, hopefully not too boring, to give DGI's a good idea of how to prepare.

well thanks squeeks I think<G> I have sold 37 copies of Day of the Dogs so far. I got a "bump" in sales due to the radio appearance. Nobody has refunded the book so apparently everyone who bought it likes it<G> I did get one return/refund on Strike Destroyer. I have made around $130 on sales for all three books as of today. Possibly a bit more depending on how much of the $58 royalty listed at amazon is included in the total $130 sum.

At any rate, I do plan a sequel Night of the Dogs if there is enough support for it. I am currently working on uploading all my gold eagle essays, even though they are still available at gold eagle.

I am also about one half done with a private detective novel set in Portland back in 2004. Strike Destroyer has only sold 19 copies so I will likely hold off on any sequel, even though I started the second book a couple of years ago. Have done the first two or three chapters on it.
I have been a busy beaver indeed since mid February, but the upload pace is going to slow down once I get the gold eagle essays uploaded. I am still somewhat surprised I have about a dozen United Kingdom sales. It is all about marketing so if you like any of the books please tell your friends about them so they can buy them!

Like I have said, I included events and crisis' that I think are probable and credible in the context of the Solar Flare in the book. Although some may feel Day of the Dogs is "over the top" I don't think so. Everything that happens from the terror attacks to the nuke exchanges to the newly declared Republics is based on my read of how current domestic and global trends "may" play out in the context of a civilization ending Solar Flare. My intent was not to scare people, although that could be one result I guess. he he he My intent was to have a good read, educate people on what to do to prepare and also explore some philosophical and political thoughts I had regarding "survivalism."

I would like to sell 100,000 copies by the way<G>
