Dennis,

I prayed for your baby, and you. Yes, let everyone know after the vet visit. My mom who passed away left behind a small dog, and it stays around my dad, but it misses her terribly. It just sits, and looks at her chair. We are all blessed to know just how precious and smart our animal family is. As you talk to her, and gently brush across her where she doesn't hurt, hopefully that will ease her tension.

Oh man!

Prayers for her and for you and for Odin too, who, in the way of canines, knows his buddy is hurt and is probably worried sick about her and wanting to comfort her. :(

Also praying for wisdom for you, that if you need to take her to one of the 24 hour vets that Diamonds found (thank you Diamonds), that you will have the wisdom to do so and will not wait too long.

Please keep us posted.

Prayers sent. Dennis, I strongly agree with the others if you haven't done so yet to try one of the 24 hour vets that have been posted ASAP.

What a horrible thing to happen. You must be scared to death. I will be praying for both of you.

I am so sorry to be reading this thread. I pray that hermione and you are ok. Our furkids are able to absorb a surprising amount of damage and come out of it ok. I hope that it is the case for you. It is always tougher on us when they are hurt. Keep your spirits up as I know she can read you and will draw from you.

What a horrible experience for you all. Praying that Hermione will be fine...and that the Lord will be there comforting you both tonight. (And Odin, too)....

The title to this thread stopped my breathing - everyone on this forum is a foster parent to Hermione so you know there are many, many thoughts and prayers in her behalf tonight. Hope you have all the information you need to get in touch with those people and an address to send the vet bills to.

I had the same reaction. I was afraid to open this thread and don't know what to say except we're here & praying for her!

Dennis,

Prayers sent.

That said - get Hermione to an emergency vet clinic. This sort of thing a reasonably trained, adequate vet can take care of - it isn't weird, eclectic medicine.

My vet down here in Hicksville does NOT have an emergency number. Though he was recommended to me by Donald Shimoda, his not having a night number means that I need to find a different vet. I will not patronize a vet that cannot be bothered to care for animals in an emergency.

I know this is hard and frustrating.

Dude, when I have an emergency at 1am on a Sunday morning I don't see my doc because my doc doesn't keep those office hours.

So, if I have to, I go to an emergency room.

Hermione needs to go to the Doggy Emergency room.

The vet I recommended refers folks that need emergency treatment for their animals to animal emergency services that are provided during after hours.

Check your PMs - I sent you their web link with all the info.

All the best for all of you.

I can only imagine your feelings right now. She's not my baby, but tears welled up for both you and her. Praying that she is not hurt too badly just scared (as you are). Like everyone else, take her to the vet as soon as you can. Sending as many prayers as I can. Let us know how she is doing.

I read the title, let out an uncontrollable gasp and burst into tears. I'm sure plenty of us had similar reactions. Hermione has been our virtual adopted dog we've followed along for years. I'm sure anyone of us would have adopted her in a heart beat. She's out TB2K mascot. It's very painful news. I gave my dog an extra big hug tonight for Hermione.

Keeping the both of you in my thoughts as you face your own SHTF moment. Should you choose to bug-in (stay home) keep an eye to ANY change in behavior or actions. If you choose to bug-out (go to er vet) take her some favorite toy's or some of your clothes for her to have if they keep her overnight. And remember revenge should be well thought out, gamed, practiced and executed with surgical precision. Rule #1 is don't get caught. Rule #2 is see rule #1.

Adding my prayers to the many others', on th board. Please don't be so hard on Odin---he was just trying, in his own doggie way, to comfort his buddy. Punishing him will confuse him---he needs your love, at this time, too.

And, if the worst should happen, PLEASE don't do anything that would get you in trouble! We pet lovers can all understand your emotional pain, but please try to pull yourself together. Odin needs you, too. Animals have deep feelings for each other, as well as for us.

Anyhoo, Dennis prayers said for you and Hermione. I know you are hurting bigtime right now. Just remember the Lord loves those idiots as deeply, as you do Hermione. Forgive them, or ask the Lord to take the hatred out of your heart so you can focus on Hermione. I think given their options they would have rather just made it home. Hoping your furkid gets better soon!
