There was a post earlier about this but it might be removed now. Weaver stated that the Patriot Fiction section is gone and that it is not up for discussion.

Yes, it has been closed. And yes, Weaver's well known verbosity has definitely added to the confusion.

I cannot understand their attitude about the fiction section at all! It was what kept me at Frugal's for years. And I'm sure brought many others there. If y'all have any of the writers emails, please tell them to come over here. I will be more than happy to register them!!!

i also had a little chuckle because a little bird just told me - kathy in fl and paradox are no longer up standing members at frugals - they even told me that your names have been removed from the members list - welcome to the crowd

oh, who told you that?? I'm terribly curious.. not one of the mods? I can still log in, at least... I think i'm still in the members list, unless they did it in the last couple of hours.

Heres the funny part. I went and posted a question about it. Then someone said yea me too whats up. So I did a little more searching and found Johns reply. Basically it his way or the highway over there. Anyway I decided to put a reply to my post that was clean but disagreed with him. they delete my post before I could hit reply. So I just said forget it and left. Then deleted them from my computer. I have found most of the writers on other forums as well as here. Frugals will be only his people soon. So let them have their cult. I'm done with it. LY

I got locked out because I like to read and not criticize what other people wrote. I'm not able to tell others how to write better.

I replied to a questioning thread over at TTOL letting them know where Kathy, Paradox and Foth were to be found. Sorry I missed you scratchline. Foth replied to that thread. I also emailed Moldy so she knows. I guess the best anyone can do is make sure the word is out to anyone we have e addys for and on other forums where we might find interested persons.

I can read but I haven't tried to post in a couple of hours, nor have I logged out. I rarely do as I left the forum up on my lap top all the time.

LYoung8, I saw they deleted the thread pretty quickly. I'm getting more and more horrified at the hypocrisy they are exhibiting. They are doing the very things that they complain about the .gov doing. I wonder how many members over there realize the type of people they have running that forum and what they are likely to do in a situation where the chips really do fall? Are those really the kind of people you would want in your survival group?

The Fiction Forum is Closed
If you read fiction you may have noticed that I closed the fiction forum today. I'd tried a number of ways to solve the problems this forum has caused for years to no avail. If you're looking for free fiction, use a search engine, it's all over the web.

in Him,

Paradox that thread at TTOL is in a members only section. It's been so long I don't remember how to join. I'm pretty sure there are instructions in an "up front" location. Good luck. Oh, TTOL doesn't have a fiction section, just so you know, but it is a good forum.

I posted a second thread in the same forum. "Frugal,

I hope you won't delete this thread outright... I can't email so I don't have any other way to ask this. I'm just curious, is all... you mentioned in your thread 'problems'. Just wondering what those problems are... is it mostly people that come and read and don't participate, or are there other issues as well?

I am not looking to debate. honest. Just would like to understand, if possible.

Last notes...

Posted this as a reply to the thread "Do we live in a police state" on Frugals, because it was on the top of the list immediately after they deleted my thread. I'm sure the post will disappear too, probably before i even finish typing this...

"In the US... I dont think so, yet.

On this forum, apparently so, when questions aren't even acknowledged, let alone answered, and people's posted are deleted with nothing said. I'm sure this one will follow into the void, but sir, if you even bother to read this, please know that you are acting exactly like the government you claim to despise.

I only wanted to understand... I though that was the point of this forum. My last words on the subject, unless honest, fair open debate is initiated by admins/mods and welcomed, so probably my last words on the subject."

No, someone is exercising their perogative to behave in the same way that they complain about the .gov types behaving. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Paradox will have her stories. Mine are up on blogspot. Scratchline (suspended a couple of months ago) has his around here somewhere. Grand has his stories on another forum. FOTH has the latest Einar and Liz story at blogspot. Kaijafon also has a blogspot site. Jerry Young's site was infected last time I tried to go there so I don't know the status of them.

I believe him but if it is a business to him, he just made one of the worst business decisions I've ever seen.

On the other hand there are multiple evidences over the years of John, Weaver, and Hangfire at the very least making fun of anyone that brought patriot and/or survival fiction up. It simply does not compute for him. He does not think of it as a teaching or sharing tool at all and because of this he either fears it or despises it. And what man fears and despises he triesto destroy.

Unfortunately it is one of those log/splinter things and I'm through trying to communicate the difference between entertainment for entertainment's sake and entertainment used to express ideas and get people thinking and communicating. John cannot seem to communicate effectively hence his need for such tight control. Fear will do that to a person.

well, if he's saying that people coming to read fiction aren't supporting the board in other ways (ie financial, from store), I can kinda understand that... especially if he has to pay somehow based on bandwidth used or posts or whatever... I can see that. Not sure that's what it is, but if I was giving out free samples (in a store), and 95+% of the people came for the free samples, only the free samples, and were eating more than one, and then never, ever bought the product, I'd probably stop giving out free samples.

All he had to do was run a donation drive like we do here once a year. Oh well. His loss.

Btw, I've asked Dennis about having a fiction section that is non-public and he's going to look into doing that for those who want their work somewhat protected.

I'm in shock! I haven't hardly even had a chance to log in anywhere for the last several weeks that I've been here at the folks' house in Western KS, and finally got a chance tonight to sit down tonight with a computer for longer than a few minutes. WTF?? I logged in at Frugals thinking I'd see how behind I was on Kathy's and Paradox's stories, and see if Jerry or TOM had anything new. Guess I won't be around there much...too bad, the fiction was how I and so many others found the squirrels. So many stories in collected works--like Fleataxi's work. And ReneeT, if she ever gets back to writing.

BTW--Great to see familiar names here! Could we maybe get a list of the alternative sites with the stories that were in progress? I don't have the bookmarks here. And I've been needing my Einar fix--what is the address for FOTH blogspot?

I'm will be posting here from now on.

His way or the Highway? Call me Westbound and down... I'm gonna do what they said can[t be done.

I can post all of my edited stories here or not. JDY and I are editing them so I will have a CD in a few months, three times edited.

Some stories have been combined aand have been edited for typos and to clean up some of the language. Sales will be through Jerry's website when the CD is ready to go.

As far as TTOL not accepting new members at this point, perhaps someone with more influence than I could Pm Housewolf or the mods there and let them know that there are refugees from Frugals needing a home. Just a thought.

Kathy, I agree .I wouldn't want them anywhere near me in a real SHTF. I have a friend that went to one of the campouts in GA. He said those people are strange. Maybe not all of us were strange LOL but some are. Anyway good to have a home here. Thanks Dennis and admins for all ya'll do. LY8

Thank you so much for being so generous TOM. You and Jerry's stories are one of my biggest regrets that the fiction section was closed. Most everyone else has them in progress some place else but you had such a huge body of work over there and you are very much appreciated.
