We didn't get a drop of rain here in western NJ. Watching the radar now and I don't think we will get any. They got some rain around Atlantic City earlier but not all that much.

It has been cloudy all day, but just overcast with some patches of blue showing up. I can see the tops of what may be rain clouds far off to the east but hey aren't moving this way...

The front is still out around Pittsburgh, we may get some rain from that if it doesn't fizzle out first. We could really use the rain...

A bit of a breeze but really no more than an "average" day. They're calling for a little more wind tomorrow but still no big deal. Sunday, my party day, should be prefect weather...

From the looks of things outside, we got a good 2 inches of rain from Earl last night. What a blessing that was. No wind to speak of, that was ok also. Now the sun is out and it is blessedly cooler and sunny with a nice breeze blowing away all that humid air we had.
It was SO nice to wake up today to pleasant temps instead of another sizzler with high humidity.....so nice I am finally getting some canning done! I also have the dehydrator full of basil from the garden with more to go in once that is dried.
I have beets to can tomorrow. It's been too hot to do anything in the kitchen the last week so I have been holding off till today and the cooler temps.

Thank God for Earl bringing rain. Joy, joy, joy and all glory to Him!
