I would guess it would be VERY hard to guess what Jesus Christ would do.
He spent the vast majority of His time inveigaling against the Jewish Preacher hypocrites and snakes in the midst of His people.
Muslims didn't exist in His time. He DID preach that to enter His Temple you needed to lay down your sword and kiss the check of your enemy, as He did to Rome.
I don't quite have that in me, but I also don't pretend that I have a first class ticket to His waiting room either.
Were I a firm and Solid fully sanctified believer and follower of Christ, Jesus, I would offer no resistance to brutality, and would leave this world a martyr.

How many innocent Americans died on 9-11? What was their crime? Going to work on a beautiful Tuesday morning? If we follow FJ's logic, I guess they deserved to die.

So noone really cares about the OP story? This is in Memphis not NYC.
I know Memphis is a cesspool but some of us have to live in or around it.
Best I can come up with is that it feels like home to them, we are still always within the top few or even #1 itself for violent crime in a metropolitan area. So, maybe Memphis is violent enough to feel like some of those war zones over in the ME.
Notice though, that they, just as much as some others, show that they don't actually have faith in their gods to protect them. The new mosque is being built in a fairly safe neighborhood. If they actually had faith in their religion, they'd worship in a building in one of the cheaper/crime-ridden parts of Memphis with trust that their gods would protect them, and use the money instead on something actually related to helping others.
And for anyone who doesn't know, that liberal preacher trying to "spread goodwill", "be a good neighbor", "show an example of Christian integrity" or whatever is not representative of Memphis. Muslims don't get special treatment here, they get mugged, burglarized, murdered, raped, harrassed by cops, and railroaded in court just like the rest of us. There's just a small enough population here that they can't go and claim special victimhood status like they do everywhere else. Best numbers I can get are 10-15 thousand in a metro area of 1.3 million.

The generals felt the bombs were beneath them and not cricket.The fact remains the Japenese military machine was against surrender, and Tojo had the muscle to make that stick up till the dropping of the bombs. The bombs were dropped to prevent the large number of causalties an invasion of the Japenese homeland would have caused. After the fierce resistance in Okinawa it was better safe than sorry. The Japense deserved those 2 bombs and another five or six if we had five or six more laying around. It was war and we still fought wars to win then.Now we let the panty wetters who worry that God forbid we might hurt the enemy's feelings or kill a few of them decide how we wage war.

As to WWJD about the Islamic fanatics... He said it very succinctly - "By their fruits you shall know them". "Fruits" meaning actions - like blowing up people, beheading journalists on TV, etc., etc....

Yeah Karma's a bitch . The Nips were planning to fight every step of the way.If we had not nuked them forcing the emperor to take matters into his own hands they were preparing to fight a total war scorched earth to the last breathing person war against invasion.. Pay back is what the Nips got in spades. You just don't understand war isn't about rules, being nice to the enemy or saying mother may I.War is about winning, that's all that matters being the WINNER. It's a dirty nasty shitty business that isn't black and white, with neat little rules , it's not clean and antiseptic. That's only in video games and sci fi. You crush your enemy not just the military but the civilian population as they are a military resource. Had been in charge the Japanese would not have been rebuilt at US expense like they were and the nation would still be occupied. They attacked us. But what the Hell I'm the guy who would have nuked Mecca and Medina in retaliation for 9/11 just to send a message not to phoc with us.
There is a movie called Deterrence you should checkout if you ever get a chance to see. Made in 1999 it has a very important message and it makes a lot of sense. Sometimes you just gotta do something to prove a point.
