That usually happens so suddenly you don't have the opportunity to say goodbye. I am so sorry. If you will PM me your husband's name I will celebrate a Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul.......Fr. Michael+

Sorry to hear of your loss Mary Lu. We lost our daughter a month ago due to an aneurysm. She was born in Montana in 1963. I will remember you in prayer.

Not to alarm you but there are certain people that read the death notices and call the families to attempt to scam them. We got one such call but they were thwarted by my call screener software.

Thank you all for your prayers. Unlikely as it may seem, I got a much needed full night's sleep and aside from a few meltdowns this morning, I was able to get all the arrangemets taken care of at the funeral home and church.

My young dauhter is feeling guilty about not being nice enough to her dad the last few weeks. As if being 14 isn't tough enough.

Oh Mary Lu, please tell your daughter she lived her life exactly as her father would want her to--just being a kid--warts and all. He would have hated being treated differently if anyone had any hint he would be leaving soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you and your daughter. We send all of our love and prayers your way.

This really hits close to home. My Dad went in for an MRI on his low back and they found a huge abdominal aortic aneurism. Until now I never realized these things existed. I have read every single thing I could get my hands on. This has got to be one of the most common "silent killers" according to our local surgeon. I was shocked. He underwent sugery and is still recuperating with a 15 1/2" scar from his chest to his lower abdomen. I thank God every single day that I made him go get this MRI for his low back pain or he wouldn't be with us today.

I've never had to "make arrangements" before, but I'm certain it's very difficult.

Marylu, I only just saw this thread, but wanted to add my prayers and condolences to the others here. I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband, especially so unexpected and sudden. May the Lord hold you and your family close during this time.
