Over 10,000 Nashi members celebrate Putin’s birthday

MOSCOW, October 7 (Itar-Tass) -- Over 10,000 members of the Nashi youth movement celebrated President Vladimir Putin’s birthday on the Taras Shevchenko embankment of Moscow on Sunday.

The action was held under the motto “Congratulate the President, Congratulate the Country.”

The movement installed over 1,000 Russian flags on the highest buildings of Moscow, including State University and the Ukraine Hotel, and a giant greeting card for the president. Everyone wishing could sign the greeting card. They could also send greetings to the president online.

The main birthday present of Nashi is a giant ‘blanket of peace’. “The blanket with the size of 220 to four meters is made up of ornaments of various peoples of Russia,” organization spokesman Kristina Potupchik said. “Nashi want this blanket to be a symbol of the multinational and grand Russia.”

The movement has ordered a prayer for Putin’s health at all major churches of the city.

Putin will mark his 55th birthday in the Kremlin on Sunday for the eighth and last time in his capacity as the head of state.

He has plans for the upcoming celebrations.

“You know, as a rule I don’t give any parties but this year is an exception. With my presidential term expiring and because
I almost have a jubilee anniversary, I’ve invited the permanent members of the Russian Security Council and the
leadership of the Russian Armed Forces, including the commanders of military districts and branches of troops, to come
to the Kremlin on Sunday,“ the president, who is the commander-in-chief of the Russian Armed Forces, told journalists.

In the eight years of his presidency, Putin has never taken a day-off on October 7, irrespective on which day of the week
it fell. Putin marked his 50th birthday at the CIS summit in Chisinau, Moldova. In 2000, 2003 and 2005 he held meetings
in his native St. Petersburg.

he originally was supposed to be in CIS meetings... it seems
at the last minute there is a birthday celebration at the Kremlin.

So, what is " almost a jubilee anniversary " ?

In God's Law every 50 years.

Jubilees insure the land rests, debts are forgiven, slaves are freed
and land goes back to its original owner, etc

The way I read it:

Whatever the Tsar's inheritance has been given away
returns back to the ownership of the Monarchy in the
year of Jubilee.

Let us not muddy the Birchers with this debate. I've known a few of them in my time, and to the last one, they would never buy into this line of thinking.

Somebody needs to explain to Linxx that the Rurik and Romanov eras are over...dead...buried...discarded from the Russian scene, except for some decaying history books on dusty and forgotten back shelves in some library or academic setting.

The Soviet types ascending once again are devoid of spirituality, except in their faithful devotion to the claptrap screeds of their icons...Lenin, Marx, and Engels. The mere suggestion that this scum is practicing or believing in the Jubilee as an act of holy rest and cleansing is absurd. It not only demonstrates a painful shortfall of knowledge and understanding by Linxx, it also raises questions about the real agenda at issue here.

The Nashi post that centermass set up here is dynamite. No rational observer can deny the true motivation and ideology of this movement.

Linxx is looking more and more like a one trick pony. The Russia-in-holy-revival notion is wearing thin with me and others as well. I'm frankly surprised that Spirit of Truth still musters the energy to argue the repetitive drivel.

Finally, in this security conscious day and age, one must wonder out loud if Linxx might be a low level Soviet operative...or just a pro Soviet stooge.

I'm sorry sir, but you are clueless to the current ideological underpinnings of Russian leadership. Do you work for the CIA or something? Unfortunately, that's where such ignorance reigns supreme.

We should be grateful to have Linxx here in this forum. He is simply honestly presenting the worldview of the New Russian Right that now runs the Kremlin.
