She was my best friend in the world, helped me raise my kids, was only 9 years old. Took her to the vet. It was so sudden. I can't handle this. I don't know what to do.
Oh no...I'm so sorry, she's adorable. I pray God brings you comfort to fill that empty space.
Trixie is so cute. I am so very sorry at your loss. At least you were with her at the passing. They become like our kids. Praying for your peace of mind at this time.

You did the best thing for her, and gave her the last gift you could give her. Animals don't fear death, but they don't understand pain and not feeling well. It sounds like she had a wonderful life with you. It will get better, I promise, but it takes time. And they never, ever live long enough. :-(

You lost your pup unexpectedly, even when it is "expected" it's hard to come to terms with.
It is hard, what you are feeling is normal.
It will get easier.
When the pain is hard, tell yourself a true fact about your pup.
Be specific.
"She had such a great personality...she rolled that ball with her nose like a pro! We were so lucky to have each other".
My theory is that:
You are acknowledging loss & filling the space with happy memories.
Your heart will eventually feel what your brain tells it to.
EVERYONE with a pet/once had a pet dreads/cringes thinking about where you are right now.
The pain & loss just SUCK and there is no way getting around it unless we never have a pet in our lives to start with.
So sorry to hear about the passing of your pup. I woke up this morning with two huge furry bodies laying up against me. Morning snuggles all-round. I can't imagine the sadness of being alone when their time with me is through.
