And to think I used to get upset when the cat left a dead animal on the door step.

2 bodies, dead dog discovered in grisly Simi Valley crime scene

    Updated 5 mins ago

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Nearly 50 people were evacuated from their homes following a bomb threat when their neighbor returned home to find a bloody crime scene with multiple fatalities in a gated Simi Valley neighborhood, police said.

A man came home and discovered a dead woman lying on the ground on the first level of his house, the Simi Valley Police Department said. She appeared to be suffering from some kind of trauma and was covered in blood. Paramedics arrived and declared the woman dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.

Officers arrived at the house located on the 500 block of Fairfield Road at about 7 p.m. in The Greens community located near the intersection of Madera Road and Wood Ranch Parkway.

The room she was found in had blood smeared on the walls with a message that contained a bomb threat that indicated there was an explosive device somewhere inside the home.

As bomb squad deputies searched the home, they discovered a man and a dog suffering from visible gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The bomb squad did not locate any explosive devices.

Homicide detectives began their investigation early Friday morning and residents in the area were able to return to their homes after an hours-long evacuation order.

No arrests have been made and it remains unknown if the homeowner was related to the victims.

    The investigation was ongoing.

    WHO WRITES THE NEWS NOW?
In what world are DEAD PEOPLE still "suffering" from gunshot wounds?
Want a NEW LIFE, to be "born again?" Your acceptance of Jesus's death for you, by proxy, on the Cross must include your understanding, consenting/ratifying that YOU AGREE that means YOU, your will, your way died. When you do, then you become "born again", a new creation, filled with His Holy Spirit, Jesus and his eternal life will dwell within you as his temple. He died for all, but not all will RATIFY His sacrifice for them.

I know. It is like saying how fatal was it? Still dead from wounds received! The press.

Looks like the women may have gone through the window and maybe the man shot the dog and then himself. I have no real knowledge of this death scene but it is an opinion.

How can it be that he found "a dead woman lying on the ground on the first level of his house," AND "The room she was found in had blood smeared on the walls"!

Either English is NOT the first language of these reporters, OR they do not even have a FOURTH GRADE command of English, their native language?
MY, HOW THE STANDARDS HAVE SLIPPED.

Or, the man has a DIRT FLOOR in his fancy home, the woman came out the upper window, and BOUNCED INTO THE HOUSE, ENDING UP IN THE dirt floor "ROOM" WHERE SHE WAS FOUND??
    Lord, help us.

    From post #2...

“ a sign was found at the home stating there was a possible bomb inside.”

I don’t think the sign actually said that.

    From #5...

A man came home and discovered a dead woman lying on the ground on the first level of his house, the Simi Valley Police Department said. She appeared to be suffering from some kind of trauma and was covered in blood. Paramedics arrived and declared the woman dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.

A dead woman cannot be suffering from any kind of trauma.

they discovered a man and a dog suffering from visible gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

A dead man and a dead dog also cannot be suffering from anything.

AND what’s up with the broken window? Is this how the perp gained entrance to the home? Or made its exit?

I can’t help but notice things like this in published articles. There’s really no reason for it other than ignorance or stupidity.

Son fatally shoots mother and family dog before turning gun on himself in Simi Valley home, police say

    NOV. 8, 2019 10:42 AM

A man shot and killed his mother and the family dog, scrawled a bomb threat on the wall and then turned the gun on himself inside a Simi Valley home on Thursday, police said.

The bizarre murder-suicide occurred in the man’s aunt and uncle’s home where he was also living in the 500 block of Fairfield Road. The man’s mother was visiting from the Las Vegas area, said Simi Valley Police Commander Steve Shorts.

Their names were not immediately provided.

“We don’t know exactly what happened inside the home, but some sort of dispute obviously occurred and ultimately it turned into a murder-suicide,” Shorts said.

The man’s uncle arrived home about 7 p.m. and discovered his sister-in-law’s body lying in a pool of blood. When authorities arrived, they saw a note scrawled on a wall indicating there was a bomb in one of the bedrooms. They evacuated everyone from the residence plus a few nearby homes and summoned a SWAT team and bomb squad to assess the situation, Sgt. Chris Johnson said.

Ultimately, authorities determined there was no explosive device. Instead, during their search they found the dog and the man’s body upstairs, Johnson said.

The gun used in the shootings was found inside the home. There were no witnesses to the violence, so detectives are working to piece together what unfolded.

“The investigation will be based on validating the cause of death and trying to determine what dispute caused the incident to occur,” Shorts said.

Man. You have to be a real nut to murder/suicide your mother and your dog.

Hard to believe there were no warning signs on this one, eh.

Yeah. I can see the mother, but the dog? Was the dog nagging him to move out of the house?

Probably a million warning signs. Mental health care in this country is a disaster. If you have a mentally ill adult in your family, there are almost no resources available unless some expert happens to talk to them at the exact moment they are making threats... and then only if the "expert" isn't a liberal who *wants* to believe the ill person when they deny any intention to actually carry out their threats.

Most of us have no idea how *many* of these desperately ill people are running around loose in every town and city in the country. If you're curious, buy a local cop a beer sometime and ask them. A family member who is a cop says they spend many hours every week chauffeuring one of the local mentally ill to the nearest ER with a psych unit (about 40 minutes away). Then they sit around for hours while they're being evaluated... and then about 80% of the time, they haul them back home because they were given a script (for the same meds they'd stopped taking, which triggered the latest episode) and released.

They say essentially no one is admitted unless they are actively and vocally suicidal or they essentially swear that if they're sent home, they WILL kill someone.

And, they say, it's the same revolving cast of characters... over and over and over.

Until they finally carry out their threats, and either end up in the cemetery or the penitentiary...

At least this time, the guy spared the taxpayers the cost of a trial and lifetime housing.

Well, at this point, that (unlike the truly abysmal writing, as detailed above by several other OCD English majors! LOL!) probably isn't the reporter's fault. I suspect details are scarce, and even the names aren't likely to be released until they are able to officially notify next of kin.

They've released the info they did almost solely to reassure neighbors and city residents that they aren't in danger... there isn't some random madman running around shooting homeowners and planting bombs.

But much of what you are asking IS in the stories...

The bizarre murder-suicide occurred in the man’s aunt and uncle’s home where he was also living in the 500 block of Fairfield Road. The man’s mother was visiting from the Las Vegas area, said Simi Valley Police Commander Steve Shorts.

It really helps to actually read the entire articles I post, or you can sound ignorant.

It says it was his aunt and uncle's house, and the mom was visiting.

    Really, people....
